Need a PPI done in south Chicago...who should I use???
I have made an offer on an '02 C32 in Naperville, IL which is south of Chicago and would like to have a pre-purchase inspection done. Can someone suggest a Mercedes dealer or shop in that area??????

I'm not sure about MB - Naperville, but MB Westmont is an AutoNation dealership - CRAP.
If you can drive the distance, the best dealer in the Chicagoland area is Knauz Auto Park - request Joey as the service writer and Paul as the tech. Still family owned, longtime experienced techs. Knauz also comes highly recommended by the MB factory rep.

The PPI is going to be done this Thurs. at Mercedes of Napperville. The current owner offered to flip the bill. Probably wise on his part if something should make my deal go south. That way he allready has one for the next guy in line. If everything goes well, I should be flying there Mon. or Tues. to drive her home!

no not an mb dealer.
how do you like your c55? is it comfortable with all the f'd up roads around here?
the one i test drove seemed abit harsh.......i understand the suspension is tuned for performance but i imagined it handling sharp inputs better. maybe it was just this car?

If you don't mind bringing it up north, Knauz as mentioned before or Motorwerks (in Barrington - not MBZ of Hoffman Estates - they're owned by MW but they're terrible) are both very solid.

I only drive the C55 in warm weather. After a extended period of not driving it, then taking the C55 out for a spin I always smile. So, needless to say, I like it a lot. As for the roads...just have to know which ones to avoid. Last year, the winter really messed up some of the roads around me, the ride was very harsh, but not terrible.
