Will they fit?

I would put those in my car if they didn't have the porsche crest at the top. I'm trying to score a pair of SLK55 AMG seats. Have you seen those? They are very nice.

Jon....Have you sat in them???? A buddy of mine has those and I can't fit well in them and I'm not that big(6' - 200lbs). If you are making a track car of it then yes, but I would hate to have to drive for very long in them!

PS........do you have a pic of your car with the Fikse's on it that you can share???? I've got FM/10s on an E39 BMW and have thought about getting the Profil 13's for the E32. Great wheels, although not cheap!!!

I'm 6' and 185 lbs, I sat in the seats in a friends's car. I'll be fine with the size. I'm going to test the fitment tonight.

I will send the pics of my car tonight.

I don't see the wisdom in trying to mount another manufacturer's factory seating into one's car....

Hey Jon. Just sat in those today in a Porsche at the track. I measured them accross at the widest point and they are about 22". I just installed the Recaro Topline in the car and they measure at 20.75" at the widest point and barely fit. If you can find a way to make them fit, I want a set too. I will post a pic shortly of the Sport seat herein. The euro seat fits me perfectly, but due to size, the Pole Position may need to be considered but I don't have field measurements on that one yet.

the gt3 seats look awesome. i wonder if they would fit. leather w/ carbon shell and alcantara inserts, deviated stitching is where it's at. i rode in a 996 turbo with them in full leather, and they were pretty comfortable considering how much tight they were.

if you want something that's racy but fits w203, look at the Carlsson C-RS seats. i believe they are off the recaro sp-g, leather wrapped, and have the c32 amg center inserts.

I need someone to resize some pics for me.

I just closed the deal on them for $1500, two GT3 seats and Porsche 996 Recaro seat brackets.

Steve,

The belts work, I need to start the car too see if the SRS light comes on. The seat sits nice and low. Where did you connect your belts?

Regards,
Jon W

Are you selling a set or just one? I'm interested if you have the pair... extremely interested.

Jon, I will send you a pm. The belts fit directly into the Recaro bracket which have a custom tab made for the stock recepticles to be bolted in. Very clean and a perfect fit, and the power seat track is also retained.

Does anyone else think that it cheapens the car by putting another manufacturer's seats in it? Just seems really...I don't know...aftermarketish.

I bet they're comfortable, though. I just don't see the logic behind it.

Road Racers

We who take our cars out on track days will benefit the most from a seat like the Porsche GT-3 leather covered Recaro. The seat has much better support, and is less the half of the weight of the stock seat. From my experience, my lap time will drop around 1.5 seconds per lap. The stock seats will just sit in storage until I have to make a long trip.

You have a good point about putting another manufactures badge on my car. That’s why the seats are still sitting in my office.
