steering wheel install how to?
i am going to be installing a new steering wheel on my 04 c32. is there anything i need to be careful of?? any tips appreciated. thanks.

Yeah, you need to defuse the airbag. There is a fuse which you must remove in order for you to even unscrew the airbag.
I think your better off asking a mechanic to do it for you. It doesn't have to be MB dealer. The airbag cost alot if you explode it.

I've been able to remove the airbag from the car w/o unplugging the battery or fuse. Make sure the key is out of the ignition so the SRS light doesnt set off.
Use a torx socket to remove the 2 bolts for the airbag. Once off there is one more bolt that holds the steering wheel on the splines.

I'm surprised there isn't more to it? I just had my 01 S430 @ the dealership to swap in the 2006 AMG wheel I bought off ebay.
I have a few friends down there and they only charged me $160.00 to do the job, It seemed much more labor intensive resetiing codes and test driving after to make sure it was alligned properly(took about 1 1/2 hrs)...Good luck to you
I tried going to another dealer while I was in LA and they refused to touch it unless I bought the wheel thru them 
gave me some malarcky about liability
