No information yet. Hopefully within the next 3 months there will be more clarity on AMG's intentions with respect to the new C-class.

I believe that he was using internet slang "ne" means "any" etc.

BTW, I looked furiously through the dictionary for the word "guages" which is contained in your signature. I could not find it.

Model year 2007 will be the last year for the current W203 chassis. The new W204 chassis will debut as a 2008 model.

Therefore, I think there are 2 possibilities for C-class AMG car in model year 2007. It will either be pretty much the same as the current 2005-2006 C55, or it may be discontinued temporarily until the W204 C-class AMG car gets introduced.

You may be right. But I will stay firm to my original guess, the last year of W203 is 2006. W204 is model year 2007. We will get a completly redesigned C class W204 and a brand new C55 AMG W204 with 420hp 5.4 litre SOHC or a 440hp 5.4 litre DOHC engine. There will be no C63 in the next 3 years.

No way we're getting a new C-Class for the 2007 model year when it hasn't debuted anywhere yet. If a new C was coming here for 2007 it would have been shown at Detroit, Geneva or New York. The 2007 C will be the same as the 2006 model. The new C will likely be shown at Paris this fall or early next year, either way it will be a 2008 model for the U.S. The SOHC V8 dies with the current C-Class (and SLK facelift) and will be replaced by the new 6.3L V8 in the next C, the C63 which will come come a year after the new C-Class makes it debut.

The next new Mercedes' are the CL and facelifted E-Class, and then the new C-Class.

W204 C class will be on sale in September 2006. It is a model year 2007.
The AMG version will be on sale ~Q1 2007.
It is a C55 , not the CLK63 engine.
Purely my guess.

Almost all sources/rumours say that the new W204 C-class will become available in 2007. Remember that making a debut in 2007 means it will likely be a 2008 model year.

Just look at the new S-class. You started seeing press material in late 2005, and it made its debut this year in 2006. It is a 2007 model in North America.

Slightly off-topic, but here's a couple articles on the next C63 (re-posts from amgpower.com). The second article says "no promises have been made about a production C63 when the next-generation C-Class goes on sale in 2007:

Okay, I wasn't really arguing about the MY2007 or MY2008.
However, I am pretty certain people can actually get the W204 on the road in Q1 2007. Basically, I base on the assumption that W204 is 9 months from the launch of new S-class. Thus, C55 W204 will be available around the same time, not later than Q2 2007.
Just I have great faith to Mercedes good speed to market.
We can drop our desposit cheque in Q4 2006.

Whatever the launch is for the next C-Class really doesn't matter, there won't be a "C55", the AMG model will be a C63 with the new V8. The old SOHC V8 is being phased out with the SLK55 facelift and next C. Anyway, the next C will either be launched at Paris in Sept which means it goes on sale in Europe right after that and this time next year in the U.S. as a 2008 model............or they wait until early 2007 to launch it in Europe which means a fall of 2007 on sale date in the U.S, again being a 2008 model year car here in the U.S. Doesn't really matter, just depends on how anxious Mercedes is to get some of those new 3-Series BMW sales.
