Toronto C32 Owners please
sorry to use this board so selfishly 
but i am now in the situation where i am deciding whether to go to Toronto for university or not. My main concern is the price for insurance of my car in Toronto. i heard its like $8xxx, where Vancouver is only about $3xxx. Can anyone help me please?

Yeah BC is dirt cheap compared to state farm and others in canada. ICBC is a crown corporation and only charges your rate based on the weight of the vehicle and your driving record. For example I had a perfect driving record in BC for six years eh!I had my 93 rx-7, you would think at 21 years old back then, my insurance would cost maybe at least 3000 bucks a year, maybe 4 k. Imagine my surprise when i found out it was only 900 bucks full coverage a year, million dollar policy to boot! it was so good that when i moved to the states eh!, i kept my policy for five years until I could afford to get florida insurance. well actually i crashed and that was the end of my canadian discount. I don;t think you;ll pay 3k a year for that car . For example down here in Florida my C32 full coverage at 30 years old is 68 bucks a month!!!!

try to keep your address somehow
even if it means you've moved into your friends basement...
my insurance was so crazy i couldn't afford to drive.
i was paying 10,000 dollars for a 30,000 dollar car.
