I don't mean to rain on anyones parade, but that's just not my cup of tea. I don't understand this whole carbon fiber craze. Putting all these aftermarket carbon fiber accessories on makes these cars more and more like the obnoxious tuned-up honda civic.

I'm not a fan of CF either but can look decent if tastefully done. I can't wait to see the finished product. Any idea on how the diffuser mounts?

I was being honest. It does only look okay for me. I like the M3 CSL style more which have the protruding part goes around the diffuser for both sides of exhaust instead of just around the exhaust tips on each side.

great project of course.

Talking

I like it because it is UNIQUE to C55 and not a copy of the BMW'S. You beat me to the market I just started working on my own version because I hate that part of the car it looks unfinished. Excellent job, if you make the exhaust part just a little more pronounce it would be perfect, good luck and post some pictures of the finished product.

I only have few sketches and some ideas in my head, but no prototype or pics. I had no idea that other C55 owners felt the same way I do about this part of their vehicle. One of my ideas is that it should NOT have RIBS or RAISED areas in the flat\open area between the exhaust tips L & R, it might look CHEESY. Your design is excellent, what I meant by more pronounce is that it accentuates the QUAD exhaust tips very much like your design but maybe a little thicker and wider (THE EXHAUST TIPS SURROUNDING RIB) since Ribs in the center is unappealing in my opinion BUT that’s my opinion. My design intent was to make it look FACTORY with a little aftermarket touch, not to over the edge. Also I would use 3M adhesive to attach it to the car. Like I said, I very much like your design. Nice!!

I just found this pic, of course it is a C32 (exhaust on one side) and the material looksbut look at the rib around the exhaust tips and you see what I meant in my last reply.

There is a little prob about the w203's, the 55's front fenders and hood are a little longer than a reg w203. I'm trying to figure out what parts will fit all cars.

New Pics!!!!!!!!!

What do you think? 0 or 2 or 3 Fins and how thick? What do you think about the seem in the middle on the carbon part? What do you think about color? I don't like the color but almost any color can be done. The color is mixed in the clear coat. I can't wait for the finished piece.
