Changed the plugs and wires...BIG difference!
car runs/idles much smoother...accelerates much easier than before(read less pedal input)....and seems to run better in the upper rpms...
if you guys have not done this, i would highly recommend this as a nice maintenance/upgrade over the stock setup...

i'm thinking of doing all these little things at the same time
IC Pump,
plugs and wires
heat spacer
SL55 boxes
and the ECU from Speentuning..
everything should run just a bit over $1k but well worth it.
How hard is to change the plugs and wires?
Thanks!
Bif
plugs were $143.88 plus shipping

part number 65211 cost $200 plus shipping
i did the install myself, as i don't let anyone work on my cars, i am a perfectionist and very **** about everything...lol
it is not hard at all, just a little time consuming...
remove the air boxes, remove the coil packs, then remove the spark plugs...it is that simple...the coil packs are even labeled so you can't screw it up...there are also labels on the valve cover for where to put each wire...
if someone wants to host some pics, i can send via email to post up...

For those of you considering: I am a hardcore automotive DIYer, and this task, IMHO, is not as easy as 1Fast makes it sound. The plugs closest to the firewall are a major PITA, unless you are limber like a noodle and have a vast assortment of socket extensions. Even then, it is installation by feel, not by sight. Plan on at least a few hours for the whole job (the first time, at least). Plan on some knucklebusters. If you are over 30 and/or not very flexible, plan on a backache too. In any case, make sure you have a variety of socket extensions available.

i only found one site that was cheaper than ordering from magnecor direct, but when i inquired about it, that was the old pricing and they did not have them in stock...be careful where you order from, my plug wires arrived 3 days after i ordered them...

Is the IK16 still the correct plug for a stock car?
