While the block is the same, the E55 motor configured with a lower compression ratio 9.0:1 thus the AMG blower can run at max boost of 11.6psi per the AMG product manual. The C55 CR is 11.0:1, you'll probably blow something in the engine if you run 11.6psi of boost. As mentioned, Kleeman offers a supercharger kit which runs around 7psi I think. A few people have already done this.

With it you also get a number of potential headaches and problems. If your going to spend that much money, I would spend the extra 2-3K on the Kleemann. Just do your dilligence and you'll understand what I'm talkin about. The search function is your door to a plethora of information...
