Best Year?
Hey guys, I am getting rid of the 2000 S4 and am going for a C32. My questions is that what year seems to have the least problems or are they pretty solid throughout the production cycle. What options would you guys say are a must? Any other info that you think would help the buying process would be great!

04-> models will be your best bet, older 02 or 03's would be fine too as long as their still iunder warranty and maybe already had some warranty work done. As for options I would definately go with the Bi-zenon and navigation.

Is there major problems to be had with the 02' and 03' models? I am thinking about an 03' that is almost new like 12,000 miles or an 02' with around 40,000 then modding it some. Whats the difference between bi xeon and just xeon. Thanks.

bi xenon has clear projector lights (03-04) and xenon (02) will have frosted you can upgrade it to bi xenon and its about $1000. some people had problems with intercooler core leaking and tranny jerk issue. both problem are expensive to fix so If I were you I would get a car that has good warranty. 04 with low miles if it doesnt come with starmark.

If it is not a Benz dealer where I would buy the car how should I go about getting those specfic items checked? Have the dealership show me its fine? There is a few I am looking at and I don't really want to shell out a bunch of money to have the stuff checked if you know what im saying.

the intercooler core problem would be hard to have checked, you have to pull out the air intake to see if you have the leak. If the car is still under MB warranty I would take it to them for service ask them if the can check it for you.

I guess it wouldnt be a huge deal to get that stuff checked out if I will be buying an extended warranty no matter what. Im going to look at a couple tonight I will let you guys know how it goes and thanks again for the input!
