C55 flat hood emblem <pics>
Hey guys,
i just recieved my flat hood emblem from formymercedes.com. It was about $30 with shipping. I think it looks great on the car. The only thing that bothered me was that it was plastic, but once it was on the car i couldnt even tell. Anyways, here are a few pics.

Excuse me, we all thought you were going to show us some closeup photos of your new emblem. I hope it is not because the emblem is plastic , so you are showing the 'effect' "it could not tell" from such a distance

sorry, i re-read your post and you wanted the best flat emblem so you probably don't want this one b/c it's plastic. i think Mario was selling a flat emblem that was made of metal and very high quality.

Ha,ha. Told my mates last night (some of them merc drivers) I was taking off the ornament and replacing it with a flat Mercedes badge (same as on C230 K). I thought I was going to get lynched

Guys, if you are looking for a Metal Flat Badge that sits within the divot on the hood left by the OEM star, you might look into this thread...

I have one of these on my C320 and it looks great. It's made from the OEM standard star, so it has the same twist attachment, making it easy to switch from Upright to Flat on the fly... it takes only seconds.
So, Quad Pipe, you can easily reinstall the OEM star when you meet your mates at the pub...
