Welcome. nah if he's bored there are much more choices out there. Since he actually cared about money and the condition of the car. i don't think he is one of the few we know on this forum.

You found a 2004 with only 200 miles on it, and it was only 34 grand? Where did you get it? I recently scoured the entire country looking for a low milage 03/04, and most are asking ~42-43 grand for ones with 10-13 thousand miles.

1) I need a brother

2) Deal sounds too good to be true.. Are you sure its not a salvage or flood damaged car?

Welcome!

That's almost as good of a deal as the 2005 W12 Phaeton I picked up for $36K with 8K miles

Your brother gave you a C6 Z06?

Can I be his brother? Or your brother? Since we own Benzes, we're all brothers right, right?

Guys mellow out. There are very low mile C32's here in so-cal and the dealerships were asking a 38.9k for them (2004's with 3k miles???) So when you think no one pays asking price and used cars are always discounted at least 10% that puts this guys claim in the ball park.

Maybe he stretched reality a bit but ive seen these things go for next to nothing. If a dealership has had the car in its flooring line since 2004 he has paid out at least 4k in interest charges over the last 2-3 years. Something tells me if they wanted the car gone they would sell it in the low 30's. Its not like used C32's are flying off the lots of all local dealerships.

Also realize that they had 2 options to off-load the car. 1 is to sell it cheap to the public and the other is to send it to auction and sell it cheaply there. It's easier to just off-load it to the public and make some random person really lucky.

I know a fellow boad member who paid 41k for a new 2004 C32 in mid 2005. This guy bought his car how much later?

i didnt buy it like you would normally buy a car, my dad knew the guy and is actually good friends with the guy and they had it in there hands, so hes just like take it off my hands for 34k and we got it.

An 04 with 3k miles for 39k?? Wow! I searched dealer inventory daily for a couple weeks, and the best that I was able to get was an 04 CPO with 10.5k miles for 40.8 after a lot of bargaining. How come I never saw anything with such low miles for so cheap? It did come with navigation however.

well lets just agree that he gave u a killer deal because he knew he was taking a loss and figured he would give it to his friend rather than just give it to the local wholesaler or the manheim auction.

You got a great deal. But in the end these steals are out there and all you have to do is be lucky enough to find it!

It was just sitting at my local dealership and it had the nice red tag in the window and it said 38.9k reduced from somewhere in the mid 40's.

Its gone now but u know it went for someplace around 36k.

It was black black and i THINK it had nav but I dont really recall. Never sat it the car. Just looked at it and said oh not a bad deal.
