Lowering windows with remote.. n powder coating stock wheel

When I try to lower my windows and open sunroof by remote, I have to be close (i'm talkin about 5yds max) to my driver side or it won't go up or down.
Do ya have same problem?

Also...I'm thinkin about powder coating my stock wheels to gunpowder or something dark color.. Ya think it'll look good on a silver car?
I plan on getting some new wheels soon but for now, I think it stocker will look good with dark color... I probably use these when I autoX too..

I don't think it is a problem...I think they made the range very close for a reason. The only thing I dislike is you have to HOLD it...otherwise it stops when you let go, or when the signal gets blocked from the key.

Yea.. It's very annoying.
I hold it for few seconds and nothing happens.. I get little closer and nothing happens... and when I get real close to my door, window rolls down..
This supposed to be a wow factor of our car... lol...

May i know how you guys lower your windows or close them with the remote? You just hold on the lock or unlock?
I tried this as soon as i got my car and it never worked, you think it's because of the range?

Yea.. It's probably the range.. You have to be pretty close to your driver side ( doesn't work if you press it by pass side).

Hold your unlock button for 2 seconds to lower your windows.
Hold your lock button to close it.

It's infrared, so like the remote on your TV - there is a little receiver on your door handle there and it shoots out the end of your key, so point RIGHT at it.

Powder coating stock wheels is almost impossible to get the perfect result if you’re thinking of leaving the lips in polished. I've tried.
Unless if you have true two-piece wheels.

I bought a set of OEM wheels off ebay that were already painted with a polished lip (not powder coated). That inspired me to paint the set that came with the car. I used a Jaguar color (blue gunmetal) and clearcoat. The picture does not do it justice. Clearcoat is amazing.

You're damn right the picture doesn't do it justice, because I can't see a thing. LOL jk anyway, I agree with you, clearcoat is the key. I would put more layers of clear coat than I'd normally need if I were you. Now reupload the pic, or just attach it to the post if direct link doesn't work.
