Resonator Delete Pics
Sorry if this has been posted before.
I have to say that the sound is great. Anyone thinking about getting it done should do so. I went to Meineke and they charged me $90.
Sorry about the pics...I used my camera phone.
Hope the pics help.

resonator does nothing for emissions yes it will still be legal. all the resonator does is quiet the car down it is essentially another muffler ..this mod does make the car sound better, and you are removing 10lbs from the car. dont know about any hp effects because it has a straight through flow it may give you 2 or 3 hp but im just guessing at that

for sound clip there's been a video with collection of C-class/32/55 with various exhaust. try searching for it in this forum.

Took out the resonator for $50.00. There is a slight improvement in power and the sound increase is very minimal and quite tolerable. I think the engine throttle response also improved. And this is still legal in CA. Go for it!!

I hate to bring up an old thread, but i'm gonna have to.
i decided that i'm going to do the resonator delete next week. after searching, i obviously learned to do SS. However, some of the E55 threads i read suggested doing either an X-pipe or H-pipe instead of just a straight one. I'm not the most knowledgeable about exhaust. I'm assuming that straight is the way to go. Is this correct?

You can't use an 'X' or 'H' pipe unless you have dual exhaust. I don't think the C32's do, only the C55. An 'X' or 'H' is used in order to balance out each side of the exhaust- in your case, it's only one pipe, so there's nothing to balance out.
