c55 amg
goto beamer if you like to drive all the time ..it may have less hp but will make u feel like you are the fastest..thanks to immediate throttle response but it's too engaging. I think it's a age thing too when i was in 20's i never even approached MB dealer but after 30 MB caould spoil you. C55 can be driven like granny if you wish and like a rockstar if you are in a mood..

C55 all the way. Since when has a turbo'd car had better pedal response than a NA?
As re C32, yeah that's a class act too, and very quick. 335i is just another three series.
C32 is the pick of the 3 imho, providing she's stock and clean

The BMW 330i sedan will be replaced by the 335i sedan. Heck, even the next M3 is rumoured to come in a 4 door sedan as well, so the 4 door arguement won't apply anymore.
It's all speculation, but here is my take on things.
In a straight line drag race, I think the C55 will likely still win over a stock 335i. The C55 should be faster to 60mph and faster to the 1/4mile.
On a twisty track, I wouldn't be too surprised if the 335i can match or even beat the C55 in terms of laptimes. Time will tell.

I've found C32s quicker than C55s i've raced. And they at least looked totally stock on 17s etc. I'm not saying they are, just what I experienced.
Don't be annoyed by getting smoked by an M3. Unfortunately, most M3 drivers like to pick on easy prey and deserve an E55 roasting.
I love the M3 so am prepared to put up with the image it has gained due to many of its drivers who tink its the quickest thing on the planet. It isn't, but it is one of the most fun. I plan to buy an E46 over the next few years as a weekend car to prove my commitment.
I don't consider the 335 i a threat to the C55, but the new 550 engine is.

BMW have lost the plot (Bangle, iDrive, SMG etc). That's proved even further if they really said 335i was quicker than E46 M3. It isn't if you know how to drive, i'd bet money on it.

its going to be fun
The new 335 with twin turbo is most likely going to be a killer platform for tuners. Most likely just a ECU will make this thing faster than a C55.

Audi S4 Avant and BMW X5 4.4
Smoke it?! I don't think so......the new 335Ci Twin Turbo I6 does 0-60 in 5 seconds and prob mid-hi 13's and will prob trap in the lo 100's stock. That would keep up just fine with a stock C32 AMG. Now if you wanna get sticky, add a ECU chip, exhaust and you will be faster than a C32, no doubt. Ahhh, the MAGIC of Twin-Turbo Forced Induction....it's hard to beat sometimes

I test drove several stock C32s and C55s when I was deciding between the two. They both felt near identican performance wise

bmwusa states 5.3 sec (5.5) for 0-60(0-62). in this case its slower than both C32 and C55 by 0.4 seconds or so.
these are manufacturer datas, real life values may vary , but i would say unlikely 335i is a treat to C55 or C32

All good points. Unfortunately most M3 drivers are c--ks. Oh well. Also agree SMG belongs on M5 and the likes not BMWs most sporty coupe. Big reason whay my CSL rocket went...and the fact it was totalled!

The point is that the 335 isn't as great as the C32, C55, M3, S4 or RS4 though.
I couldn't imagine anyone trading any of the above for the new E90, unless it was the M3.
Stock for stock, the 335i is getting left behind and also doesn't have the image of the tuner-arm vehicles.
Talking of turbos though, I have a buddy with an R34 GT-R Skyline putting out 800bhp and an Evo Makinen Edtn putting out 475bhp. So if we're on about tuning, it is hard to beat the Jap brigade.
They don't sound like my M3 though!
