Two pushes to squirt!!
Dealer diagnosed it as a faulty one way valve, which was letting the washer fluid drain back through the pump. According to their system, the C32 has a heated washer pump which has the one way valve built in, so they ordered one and the car went in to be fitted yesterday.
Dealer called last night to say it seems marginally better with the new pump on, but still not right. They suspect there's no one way valve in this particular pump, despite what the system says. Still a bit of head scratching going on.
Anyone come across this before? Might the problem be down to something else? Or do you know if the heated washer pump does indeed have a one way valve in it?
All ideas gratefully received!!
Going to pick the car up now...

The pipe becomes porous and leaks air which is what causes the water to drain back.
That is what I was lead to believe.
Problem now fixed.
It seems there's a one way valve in the washer jet itself (ie the bit that pokes through the hood). If one fails, then the system loses pressure and the water drains back down to the pump/reservoir.
My dealer replaced the jets, and the problem has gone away.
