Anyone Seen Speedybenz?

I tried contacting Speedybenz from his website a couple of times and didn't get a response. Does anyone know if he's still around?

I'd love to get a camber kit for the rear of my C32. I going through tires about every 6 months. Is this normal? I'm running ADR M-Sport 19's in the front and rear w/ Toyo Proxies.

Also, I'm looking for a good mechanic in the SF Bay Area if anyone has any recommendations.

Unless you are replacing the rears because of wearing through to the cords on the inside edge then the camber kit will not extend the tire life.

Tks Zepplin. It's not that bad, so I think I'm stuck with the 6 mo. tire change.

Tekman, you're close. I'm in Castro Valley. Here's a picture of the car:

It's definitely slammed. The potholes are very harsh on my rims. I've already got to get the passenger rear repaired. There's a good place in Campbell. They're getting a machine in January that will allow them to powder coat chrome.

Looks very nice... with that setup on the rear you will use more tires, even with the camber arms. you will start rubbing or you might be rubbing now.

Luckily I'm not rubbing but there's very little margin.

Do you know a good mechanic in the Bay Area? I've got the check engine light problem right now. I'm worried it could be the I/C pump or possibly the fuel pump. I read all the posts and it seems like the symptoms could be a bunch of things. I've got the check engine light, I get irregular throttle response, and at around 100 MPH I lose power.

I installed some Green Filters about 5K miles ago to see if that would help. I could immediatley tell the difference, but nothing happened to the check engine light. I was getting the ESP visit workshop warning before replacing the air filters, that seems to have gone away.

I could really use someone who knows what they're doing. I don't get a good feeling from the dealers. Car's out of warranty naturally...

Have you scanned your OBDII? The codes are very helpful to nail down the problem. I'm in Bay Area (East Bay) and can help to scan it if you want to (but don't expect me to solve it)

I have a feeling it's your MAF.

it might be your secondary air pump. you can diagnose the problem yourself. go to autozone and rent a OBDII reader its free aslong as you return it. plug it under the steering wheel, turn the car key to on and let the scanner tell you the problem. you can reset it if you want. if that is the problem then its about $300 to 400 for the part and install is very easy you can do it yourself.

No MAF's on these cars. Probably your Secondary Air pump causing the CEL. This would not cause any performance issues though. You reallly need to invest in a scanner unless you want to pay some high dealer labor rates for diagnostics.

Also, most CEL are due too emissions related stuff. Your car has a 8 year or 80,000 mile warranty on emissions components.

Thanks for the info guys! I really appreciate the help. I was getting really frutstrated and I just don't have confidence in the dealers around here. Not to mention, I hate being a$$ raped since my car is out of warranty now.

I have to bring my car in to repair a cracked windshield next week some time. Long story short - I got Sirius satellite radio installed by Best Buy (wife's doing eventhough I asked her not to go to BB). First they installed the antenna inside on the dash. I couldn't get any reception. I took it back and they installed it on the roof in the front but had to go through my windshield. The installer cracked my windshield and now it's costing BB about $1200 to replace. Pleasanton would do it for $1300+, Fremont will do it for almost $1200. Smythe will do it for $800 but they farm it out.

Pleasanton would check out the check engine light for free. Fremont wants $140 to do the diagnostic and Smythe wants $240. What a f-ing joke. I did an ECU reset which helped. I'm going to try to borrow an OBDII scanner. If I can't find one, maybe I can take zoink up on his offer. Thanks again for all the help!!!

I have been away from the boards for quite ome time and had to deliver camber kits that were paid for several weeks ago, but right now I have 5 sets built and ready to ship. I have sold many sets for W203's.

Email me at: speedyafm2@aol.com for details

Guys,

I would suggest you find your camber arms elsewhere. I have tried to contact Jeff again as of this post, call him, left messages on his voice mail at work and home, emailled him, and no luck. i have sent him money more than 2 months ago. I think Mark Cummings is having the same issue with him. He also lost his money.

I admit to some very long return times. But if you ordered and have not recievd the camber arms in the last week, please email me at speedyafm2@aol.com and I will see what the problem was.

I am only going to sell camber arms when I have them to ship within one week from now on.

Also I want to make sure everyone has recieved any camber arms that where ordered. I sent out what I thought were the last camber arms owed this Friday.

But please let me know if you are still waiting for product.

I am sincerely sorry for the wait some of you have endured.

Jeff

I ordered camber arms for my 2001 E430 a few weeks back on your site but I never heard back so I do not know if it went thru or not. Please PM me. Thank you.
