I suggest you guys also check out the E and CLS sections on the forum. Many members are unhappy with their 6.3 engine because it does not put down advertised HP numbers and is not nearly as fast as their old 5.5 supercharged engines. Some are even threatening class-action suit, although I doubt it will happen. Keep in mind that this is the fully tuned, "500hp" engine and not a detuned version I'm talking about. If I were you, I would just supercharge your cars and they will most likely be a lot faster than the 6.3 engine.

May i conclude all the models getting 6.2 litre engine are market disasters ? Who in MB were fired ? Any press , rumours ? The loving baby SLK55 does not get a 6.2 too.

Locally here, I have seen price quotes of CLK63 Coupe/Cab and I can order them. But the dealer has not updated their site and I can still find CLK55 there. What that means, in 2006, we can still order C55/CLK55. MB has no intention to replace the CLK55 with CLK63. So CLK63 is only treated as a special order item.

I'm pretty sure the C55 is still available for MY2007 in most markets in the world, EXCEPT North Amreica. The CLK55, however should not be in production anymore, as the CLK63 should be replacing it EVERYWHERE in the world. If HK is still selling CLK55's, it may be because of old inventory, or just lack of updating on their webiste.

GUYS i would love a clk63 but its convertible !!!! whack i want coupe.....as far as the 63 engine in my friends e63 saturday night and he had a e55 and dam the e63 is hella fast he already broke it in too thats the problem with the 6.3's people are criticizing when they are still new and not broken in he has 7k mile already

I do not see the point of not offering the CLK63 coupe in the US. 
However, a few months ago, I had the opportunity to check out a brilliant silver CLK63 convertible at a local dealership. The car looked stunning. The interior quality was exceptional, and the upgraded bodywork made it a subtly aggressive looking car. Ironically, there was a C55 adjacent to it (along with a CLS63). The C55 is very sharp looking machine, but I just couldn't keep my eyes off the drop-top CLK63.
