Very difficult decision
By 2007, my 330i E90 will be 1 yr old.
I have 3 options:-
1. To trade the c55 with a C63 W204, cons: not too sure if I want another C-class in a row, I love the C55 , it has been so stable.
2. To trade the 330i with a M3 E92/E90, cons: lose a lot $ on a 1 yr old car
3. To trade the C55 with a M3 E92/E90 , cons: two BMW duplicated
any advice?
Keep your 330i for another year or 2. Wait one year after the M3 has been released before trading in the 330i for the M3 to prevent the inevitable 1st year problems with brand new models.
In other words, don't do anything in 2007. Do you have enough patience for that??
I mean you got the 330i 1 yr. ago, why do you want to trade it already? You should have just purchased the M3 then.

ie...if you suddenly want to go offroading then you'll have to sell the cars and get an suv.
ie...if you want to keep up with the joneses then you'll have to get the latest model as soon as it comes out wouldn't you?? :-(
if you want the best bang for the performance buck - i'd sell the c55, buy a clean 2002 c32 and spend the 6k to get it to 400hp.
the c32 imo, is better looking than the c55.

i am keeping these cars and will revisit the upgrade in 2008.
Another difficult thinking is, if I only need one car starting June 2007, which one should I sell ?
Keep the C55 and drop some money into it for a 500+hp Kleeman/Brabus/ Renntech kit, etc., or wait two years for a CLK63 or E63. Let MB work the kinks out before you buy. The C55 is indeed a well sorted out vehicle, knock on wood, no problems yet.
I'd like to see how to get a C55 to 500hp for 10grand, because I'd sure like that. A quick glance at the tuner sites shows that they want 15k++ just in parts for 460hp. My C32 got to 440hp for under 6000 in parts+labor. The 550hp C55 project you're talking about sounds like a 20grand+ project, but I could be mistaken.

this is 100% matches what I call 'the perfect upgrade'.
