Dilemma, could use some input.. Trade in for another C32?

Oh no.. The sales guy at my local dealer emailed me.. They have a low mile 03 C32 that they want to show me.. My car has 99800 miles on it and my warranty expires at 100k.. just a week or so away..

Should I trade mine in? They offered me a surprising amount just a few months ago.. but I just added the dual exhaust set up.. bye bye to the Brabus suspension too.. I can strip all the other upgrades/mods.. (Oh and the car is brilliant silver which would be my second choice)

This is how I am thinking of it.. How much will it cost to maintain my current C32 and mod it more.. compared to the 13-14k difference + taxes.. etc for the 03 with 80k less miles? Do I even waste my time with another C32 or get a C55? Although I have driven both and prefer the feeling of the supercharger.. Oh brother..

Didn't really want to start modding until after the warranty anyway but the piece of mind having 20k miles and lots of time under warranty is very appealing..

I have been extremely happy with my car and there haven't been major problems since I have owned it.. (front bushings, slight tranny jerk, free tranny rebuild at 92k miles & new TCU) Most everything that could have gone wrong was replaced under warranty by the previous owner or by me. (Tranny, radiator, supercharger, intercooler, basically every TSB out there lol)

The car seems rock solid now, never fails to impress and scare me at times.. have no desire for the sprint booster because I would probably kill myself.. LOL

Maybe it's just Christmas and I want a nice present.. Well I am rambling..

Any thoughts?

Not an AMG :(
keep your car! I wouldn't splash out on a car that is just one year newer even with low mileage and warranty. You just never know what kind of nightmares you could have with the new one - having a warranty is nice, but having to take the time off to bring it into the dealer and driving a POS loaner around is not cool. Like you said - you appear to have the bugs worked out in your current car - enjoy it!
Wait for a while and splash out on an 03' E55 - there are some hellaciously good deals on 55's that are 3-4 years old - probably even better deals after x-mas.

I think this question is some what dependent on your personal prefrence and financial possition. Personaly, I would be uncomfortable with a C32 or any car with 100K miles on it. If I liked the car I would consider buying the same car (I had 2 S4's), or like you mentioned maybe getting a C55. While the bugs may be worked out for now, just remember, their are always more bugs right around the corner. Once a car hit's 60K I get another one and I suffer few headaches becasue of it. Just my 2 cents worth of commons sense...

I would say keep your current car atleast you already know the car. If you get the other c32 you dont know what kind of problems you will find. Plus your mods are already set.

Good advice. You know your car, and you've personalized it. I wouldn't trade unless it was MUCH newer or MUCH better.

milage is just a number baby! this cars can have over 200000 miles and will be running good with no problems, its how you maintain your car. I dont care what car you drive something will break and you just have to repair it when it does.

Personally, I would only keep a C32 with that many miles only if it was near being or has been paid off.....Now as you indicated, most of the things that go wrong with a C32 have already gone wrong which is good but what if they start happening again? Now, with that being said I would not get another C32 because: A) The reliability issues and B)Time to experience something new. However thats just me in the end you do what makes you happy....

C32 AMG - in Pewter
I think it is the right decision, given you are enjoying it so much (so do I, but I just had mine for two months C32 AMG ). Yes some problems may come back after some time but you know them and will not spend energy and anxiety to find out what exactly is going on. Yes, it may cost money but put that against a new(er) car depreciation, even though under warranty, it may not look that bad at all.
