Extended Warranty
I am the third owner of this vehicle and looking to get an extended warranty. Anyone have any dealings with
http://www.autowarrantybroker.com/pr...er_details.asp
Quoted 1900 for 3 year 36K. covers most everything. The dealer I bought the car from wanted 3300+ which put the car out of my price range. I love this car and have been looking at them for over a year and finally pulled the trigger. Car has 72000 miles and has had all of the reg probs taken care of under the other owners warranty (friend of mine) bought the car for 20800 and want to protect myself as these are expensive to fix. You guys all ROCK on this forum and was why I chose the C32 AMG to begin with.
Anyone in the St. Louis area?

I've never used them before, but I've read that a couple of people on the E55 forum had positive experience with Mercury.
I can tell this for sure though: GET COVERED under an EXTENDED WARRANTY. It may cost you a couple of grand extra now, but it will save you tens of thousands later.
I can't stress how important warranty is on AMG vehicles !

I don't know how you guys are getting quotes from Mercury. When I go to get the quote, I receive a message of, " we're sorry but we can't offer coverage on that vehicle at this time. Check back.....". What? Mine is a 2002 with 52000 miles. After checking other sites, nobody seems to want to touch it. Some companies also won't write policies in California. I still have Starmark until 4/1/07.

I have the Mercury Platinum Plan and paid only 1700 (zero ded). I purchased it while the vehicle was still under factory warranty, which I believe makes a difference in what they can offer price wise. Anyway, I've had the warranty active since November of 06 but no claims yet, knock on wood.

C32 AMG
I had 28K miles on mine at the time I purchased a 5yr/100K/$0 deduc. FULL warranty for $2,600 from a company called Agape Auto Services. Best deal I could find anywhere and I was pretty excited about the find. A few thousand miles later I find out I need a new tq. converter and claim it through warranty only to find out they no longer cover "AMG" vehicles. They denied my claim, gave me a full refund and said tuff luck. Had I never filed a claim they would have gladly kept my money. I can't remember who I ended up with now but the price was about the same and I only have half the time and miles covered for about the same price. AMGs are a pain in the *** to cover but you are crazy not to have a warranty with these thing as its not if, but when you will need it...
