My guess is that the price will be high 50's to MAYBE low 60's. Like 59k starting or 61k starting. Cheaper than RS4 for sure.

bhp will be around 450 not 500.

I think it will be much higher than most of you think. Historically, Mercedes has always been more expensive than Audi and BMW. That being said, using the RS4 as a benchmark, I think that we can expect to pay at least $70,000.

price and power

I went to the dealer last week and asked them about thew upcoming C class ///AMG. They did not have a clue about it. They too were speculating, guessing, and there answers were very different that the ones posted here. The dealer thought they would not put the 6.3 in the C, (they felt the big motor would be rederved for the "expencive" models) and thought the pricing would be arround the current price of our cars. I think we will have to wait untill MB USA gets some hard facts out there.

I think the C63 likely won't be available in the US until spring or summer of 2008 as a 2009 model. Base price I'm guessing $61-63K and fully loaded $70-74K.

From what I have heard, the new regular C will be out in August, and the AMG will be out in March 08..

I am hoping your guess on price is a little high.. I was hoping base 57/58k loaded around 66/67k
