AMG vs. AMG 209

AMG vs. AMG 209
Dumb question, but what's the difference between the AMG Double Spoke and the AMG Double Spoke 209...both 18 inch? Was looking at Tire Rack, intersted in changing my C32 17's to AMG Double Spoke 18's.

its freakin confusing. I bought my AMGs off tirerack. when I bought it, it was either AMG DOUBLESPOKE 203 which is the c32 amg ones, or double spoke 209, which was the CLK55 amg ones. now its double spoke and double spoke 209? thats freakin confusing!

Yes, the double spokes for a w203 are different than the double spokes for the 209. If you look carefully at the pictures the C32 vs C55/CLK55 are different. In my opinion, the double spoke 209 are better!

they ARE OEM, the only replica AMG they sell are made by ASA.
THE C32 AMG rims/SLK32 AMG rims are DIFF from CLK55 amg rims.

BUT. Whats the diff between DOUBLESPOKE AMG and DOUBLESPOKE 209. they look the same.

I just purchased the AMG 18" double-spoke from TireRack myself. They are slightly different from the AMG 18" 209 double-spokes. They are the same staggered dimensions and have the same silver paint color and basic desin. The difference is subtle. The AMG 209 version has a bit more curve to the spokes whereas the normal AMG wheel spokes are flatter. View the large res pictures on TireRack for each wheel and look at where the spokes meet the outside rim and hopefully you'll see what I'm referring to.
In the end, I felt both wheels were identical enough to not warrant spending the additional money for the 209s. Wheels should arrive at the end of March so I'll snap pictures of both the front and rear wheels before mounting.
FYI, I got Goodyear Eagle F1 tires with the wheels based on the MANY recommendations from other members of this board in another thread.
Note, the wheels are OEM AMG wheels manufactured in Austria.
