I think the C will have a little edge at higher speed due to slightly lighter. But it won't be much of a difference.
The thing that surprised me is how the two engine characteristics are quite different albeit same engine base. The C feels more like a screamer... you need to put it in higher RPM to feel the torque, while the E is more tap-ready torque.... so your butt may tell you that the E is faster....
I did suspect it by looking at hp/tq numbers... but didn't expect to be this distinct.

Good luck with your sale though. The C55 is beautiful, all options and clean, practically new. I love that car, perfect size, just wish it has the 6-gears.
Tee_Tz.

tee_tz: No... no 65... I'm a bit scared w/ the maintenance and depreciation... plus, S/CL feels too big and SL... man call me stupid, but I'd rather get 997TT

rareamg: Yeah, just got myself an '05 E55.... pretty much downsize the garage a bit... I mainly work from home and too many cars sitting in the garage vaporing money...

Anyway, any takers? I will entertain any reasonable offer.... I may just take it to a dealer and see what they offer on the C. On E, they gave me $20K w/o trades.

Zoink, please tell me:
How did you preserve the leather in the C55? Are you a leatherique man?
Regards,
Pete
and rarely put under direct sunlight - Always use sun shade & sun screen when parking on open parking lot.The leather is still soft and like new... only couple very minor wrinkle as you could see from the the pictures... one more application of leatherique should cure them.
Same thing w/ my E.... except the leather color is charcoal... so they appear "dull" as compared to my C.
