I don't know about you guys, but WHY would you pay $7600 more for a CLS63 than an E63 FYI from the AMG home site stats.

I guess I will still trade up for an E55

See yeah

Me bad, I saw four doors and thought it was the C63

Design.

The CLS-Class is a coupe, the E-Class is a sedan. Coupe's are always more expensive than the sedan.

Take the Mercedes-Benz SL65 ($186K) and S65 ($182K) or BMW M6 ($99K) and the BMW M5 ($82K).

You want to look fancy, and showy, then you gotta pay more!

I would if I were to spend that kind of money. For one, the CLS appearance itself is probably worth 3-4 grand extra compared to W211. Secondly, C219 model won't be out for the next 5 years, versus W211 in 2 years. Third, base model CLS (550) always cost about 8 grand above the comparable model of E class.

Okay, then why does the picture on the above website have 4 doors? I haven't seen too many 4 door coupes?

At first I thought it was a C63 take a look, it is rather odd

See yeah

+1 !
E class is boring/blan/outdated, in my opinion. E class screams retirement home....I don't care if it's an AMG beast or not. I would GLADLY pay extra for the CLS, which has it all. Performance and a sexy new modern look. Once a good enough deal comes along on a used CLS 55 AMG I'm dumping the 32. Its the only other Benz I would consider buying at this point.

the description "coupe" doesnt mean that the car has only two doors (and usually only 4 seets too). its the description of the rear of the car.

Since the beginning MB has always been marketing CLS as the world's first 4 door coupe.

+2. If I were to buy a CLS, it wouldn't have to be an AMG.
