My C32 is POS
My car is a POS. I have a 2002 C32 and it has had the TCU upgrade and IC Pump from previous owner (have maint. records) as well as fuel pump & sensors. Anyways, besides the cruise control not working, the driver & passenger regulators not working well and my windows being scratched, as well as a bad fuel gauge (which was already "fixed" a while ago).
For the past few months my tranny has been acting up. I will be doing 100mph creeping to 105mph and all of a sudden the rpms stay where they are at and the car doesnt keep going but stays right where it is. I manually shift to lower gear(s) nothing changes. I slow down back to about 60mph and try it again the car goes past 105mph no problem like its supposed to. Other times it will happen between 60-80mph while I am trying to get on the freeway. But mostly happens above 80mph and at the 100-105mph range. The dealer cant have their tech go above posted limits. So how the hell does this issue get resolved, supposedly they checked it out last time and came up with nothing.
Any advice (besides dont go over 80)?
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any thing else you may have to add?
thanks for the help.

IC Pump was already replaced but what would that have to do with tranny sitting at one spot. Why would the rpms just stay at about 5.5k and not go into the next gear?
I hope its only an $80 fix but it doesnt seem like it. Is this what happens when the radiator is bad?

no sprint booster. There is a delayed throttle pedal response but its a pretty long delay cuz I have it floored and nothing really happens.

it is located on the throttle body...i don't know how hard it is to install, never looked at it on this car...usually, it is just 2 screws and a connector for the throttle position sensor...that is only if it is not a one peice throttle body assembly

No, it was probably a month later that it happened and I had it checked out under warranty, etc. They couldnt find anything. I've actually had it in there for this same issue 3-4 times and they always come up with nothing. Its not a constant thing, I have gone weeks without it happening. MB Tech said it could be due to the adaptive learning of the ECU because I am not always pushing my car to the max. So when I do it acts up cuz its not use to it. But I tend to believe thats BS.

Come to find out the TCU needed updating as they previously didnt do it or something. The wording on the previous records made it sound like it was taken care of. Thankfully they fixed this as well as the other issues thru my warranty which actually expired back in last week of december. Now I dont have to worry about the gas gauge either.
