I upgraded the bar on my old Audi A6, and it wasn't that difficult. I foresee it being my next mod.

I just added a rear sway bar at the same time I was getting SS brake lines done. They had it done in like 30 minutes max. It should be a very easy DIY job.. I was going to do it myself but they were already going to have it on the lift.

One thing they mentioned that I thought was odd.. the tech said he needed to drop my exhaust to get the bar under.. I didn't think that was necessary and was a little surprised..

I dropped the exhaust on my Audi to do it. Dropped it on my chest!

What brand bar did you use?

I picked up a set of Eibach sway bars.. Haven't installed the front yet because the holes are 3/8 and they should be 1/2. I am just going to have them drilled..

You’ll find the installation to be perfunctory and straightforward. rlee’s DIY is an accurate depiction of what’s involved. No need to drop the exhaust.

Increasing the rear roll couple will indeed help to reduce our dreaded understeer. Steady-state cornering will be adjusted closer to neutral. It’ll still push. Please be aware that because the rear suspension will be less “independent,” wheelspin upon corner exit is even more pronounced. Why AMG intended to control 350 HP with a non-LSD rearend remains a mystery. ASR/ESP gets even more overwhelmed. A stronger rear anti-roll bar only exacerbates the problem.

I run mine at the inner (stiffer) position. I’ve tweaked the (H&R) front and rear bars in each setting.
Settled on soft front and firm rear. It still pushes a ton. Doing a wheel and tire upgrade soon. I’ll post their results with respect to improving its balance.

Sadly i have neglected my rear suspension and rear stabilizer bar now with 120k miles on the C32 and looks like my sway bar, bushings and brackets are rusted out and toast (pic) which is probably the reason i'm getting a pinging sound from the rear suspension every time i go over a slight bump.

will be replacing with OEM parts and was hoping for any feedback about what parts exactly should be replaced?

here's the parts diagram for the rear stabilizer and associated parts - assuming i should just replace everything including both end links, ride height sensor, sway bar, busings, both clamps, both brackets?

Due to the rust you see in my pic i am guessing i cant get away with just replacing the sway bar/busings/clamp and should just replace everything?.

I have read the DIY but didnt see specifics on part numbers to order and replace but found those below from MP parts thx all

Not sure if helpful but wanted to share as I've been trying to sort out the correct AMG rear sway bar replacement for my C32.

Did a look up in EPC using my 2003 C32 and VIN and these were the part numbers to order to replace the rear sway bar / stabilizer bar and all the brackets, end links, bushings etc and the prices shown are from genuine mercedes parts .com. Would welcome any feedback if anyone has done this full replacement and knows if any issues with these parts not being compatible. While I trust EPC, there are always exceptions
Stabilizer Bar203-326-14-65 (EPC shows 203-326-20-65 and this was the cross referenced part) $98.00
Bushings 203-326-03-81 $14.70
Bracket RIght 203-320-10-42 $46.20
Bracket Left 203-320-09-42 $44.10
Stabilizer Link, RIGHT 203-320-08-89 $38.50
Stabilizer Link, LEFT 203-320-07-89 $38.50
Stabilizer Bar Clamp, LEFT 202-323-05-262 $8.06
Stabilizer Link Nut 913023-010002 $3.50
Outer Support Bolt 910143-010000 $6.16
Stabilizer Link Bolt 910105-010002 $8.40
Stabilizer Bar Mount Bolt 000000-002624 $6.72

Morphh hey man how are ya? the pic in this thread is my rear sway bar. rusted out, bracket looks like **** and am sure the end links are dead as i've never changed any of that at 120k miles now. parts were like to replace everything sway bar, bracket, end links, bolts, clips, bushings etc for all OEM stuff. figured might as well get it all done right while i have my indy guy do it.

i decided to change everything as i've been getting a very loud metal pinging sound every time i go over a slight bump. i think it was caused by this ****ty local tire shop who put on my winter tires and carelessly jacked up each side 1 at a time and something must have popped loose to cause the noise most noticable on the rear right site. so what the heck, replace it all and she'll be good as new

hows your c32 doing???

It’s not hard, could use someone to help you, I would lube down the nuts and bolts before you start for like an hour or even next day.
I would do sway bar bushings and links together. You will need E torx as well

The Audi rear sway is WAY harder than the Mercedes. You shouldn't have any problems.
