Hi Everyone,
I'm a new member and recently bought a 06' C55/ 10 miles only!!!
. After an extensive research between BMW 335 and S4, I decided for the C55. It's a complete car with low profile. I test drove all the models mention above and I have to say that there's no comparison with the C55. This car have everything power, suspension, luxury plus more. I bought the car for 62K since down here the goverment apply a 40% car tax on every car above 42K. Even that, I think I made a great deal with the dealer since they were selling the car for 71K. I glad to get on board on this forum and l will look forward and share information on mods. Here are some pics.

Thanks, for the warm welcome. I will definately going to start on some basic mods for it, like the K&N filters. I was thinking about the Renntech stage 1, but is kind expensive down here. I will keep researching.

Before you go spend any money on even the basics, you might want to do some research on things like K&N's. Their benefits seem to be dubious at best, as noted in this thread:

I realize this review was for a non-AMG, but it is food for thought.

2006 BMW X5 4.8is and 2005 C55 AMG
So you know the filters in the RENNtech CF aifbox are the AMG filters. This is because RENNtech knows any filters that use oil will damage the MAF. They use to put K&N in there airboxes, but learned after replacing several MAF's that the oily filters were the source of the problem.
If you want to gain power go with the RENNtech stage 1 the airbox and programing will make a noticeable improvement.

I'm with rawAMGpower on this on. Don't do it. Take them back and save yourself some grief. That was the reason I wanted you to read the other thread.

Thank you very much for the feedback. I will stick with your recommendations. I will go forward with the Renntech stage 1 and discard the k&n filters
