Unhappy Please Help!!!!

Ok now that i have your attention. I will try to make this short. A while ago i purchased two Evosport stage 2 kits, one for me and one for my good friend, since purchasing only one has been installed. Since installing the first kit on a 2003 w/39000mi. i haven't been able to get anywhere close to the dyno numbers or the track times that i'v have read about on this forum. This is why only one has been installed. I have had the car on two different dyno's and hp numbers were the same, approx 320rwhp, i have also been to an 1/8 mile track and the best time so far has been 8.6. I have spoken with Vadim and Evosport several times reguarding the low output of the car and haven't got any further progress with the car. I have sent the ecu to them two different times and still the car is still the same. Unfortunately i don't have pre install dyno #'s, but i did run 8.8 1/8mi with bone stock car at the same track as the 8.6 post install. I have also installed a boost guage to try to troubleshoot the car and the boost is 17.5 psi 3rd gear pull. I also have had the car on a scanner to read iat's and they are right in line with what i was told they should be from Vadim. I dont have any idea where to go from here. I was hoping that with all of the knowledge from this forum maybe i could get some help!! If anyone could ((PLEASE)) lend me a hand to get to the bottom of my problem....i would be so very thankful, as i feel as if i have wasted a lot of money!!!!

He was asking about air-fuel ratio. Maybe you're running too lean (increased AFR).

Also, I've always wondered about the ability to get claimed gains out of an engine that has so much variability (hp-wise) in stock form. Say, for example, your car had an engine with hp on the low side of things (Vadim said he's seen C32's with 275-280 rwhp). Then you modify it with Stage II. Can we assume that the magnitude of the gains will be dependent on the original state of the engine. i.e. there's only a certain 'percentage' gain in power. It might be conceivable that 320 rwhp or a little higher is all you can get out of this engine.
Perhaps stage II mods will only give about 75hp to a strong C32 (i.e. putting down say 295-300rwhp)?

i see you tried it on two different dyno already, so the ruled out the dyno fault. On the top of my head I can't really see anything wrong with the hardware part. The only thing that may be wrong is the ECU tune OR like boohoo said maybe it was one of the weaker car to begin with.

you can see my mod list in the sig which I put out 351rwhp/354rwtq on the dynapack. same dyno used by amg-jerry.

the afr varied a little most of the pulls wrer a little rich, as for the car being low hp stock the car ran an 8.8 in the 1/8 mi which is what i think is on par for stock car.

even if the car stock was on the low side on hp, i feel that after stage II it should put out more than 320rwhp, remember this was the best it has done some were as low as 305rwhp depending on pulls and ambient temp.

My 02' C32 pulled a 285 bone stock and from the factory specs its just about right on point with HP to the ground. I would hope to see 350HP to the ground if I put a full stage 2 Evo Sport kit on. I hope that his issue is in the tune if its not we can only speculate that his car was a factory freak with only about 250hp fsince its only putting out 320hp after a full stage 2 EvoSport upgrade.

Very good point.
Mind you, with an AFR of ~11:1 for most of your dyno pull, that would suggest that the ECU map is in fact off, right? Even the Evo AFRs are right around 12.5:1.
Out of curiosity, what was your trap time and speed for the 1/8 mile?

My initial baseline dyno was 280RWHP, stock, 36k miles, 91 octane, CA

Stuff put on the car:
===============
Renntech ECU,
EVO Headers,
Renntech Pulley,
EVO intake spacers,
Full SL55 intake setup (SL55 OEM filters)
IK20 plugs

Dyno after the complete install was about 340RWHP, on the same Dyno, as used on Inital baseline, , 91 octane, CA

After this, I had to replace the leaking intercooler, but have not dyno'd since.

Does your car slightly miss at idle? Plugs or plug wires can cause this. Since there are two plugs, it can be difficult to diagnose.

I have the stock exhaust, except for the headers.

Did your EVO stage 2 ECU get flashed, correctly?

he said he sent it back to EVOsport twice in the first post.

I just went through some thread and found AMG-jerry's AFR...couldn't find mine for some reason. AFR should be around 12.5

EDIT: found mine...attached the pic. btw, nvm the all weird out graph...the tech that did the dyno couldn't get the shift down

Evosport shows a stock car and the stage2 in their dyno map, but is that the actual same vehicle, or two different C32s?

Right on the money. Superchargers, or any pressure added engine, like rich conditions, ie its safer against detonation and temperature spikes. 11.5 A/F to 12.5 would probably only gain you a 2-3% increase in power. Check out some websites from B/M and other blower manufacures and you will see that there really isn't a lot to gain by leaning them out. Not talking about emisions mind you.
Actually you can loose a lot like head gaskets, pistions, rings etc by leaning it out too much.

Oh well, good luck

See yeah

The car has been dynoed 3 diffrent times. The afr has varied from 11.5 to 12.8 on diffrent pulls. Remember 320 was the best pull. I have other dyno sheets that show less hp and higher afr, again this is why i am searching for help. I have been trouble shooting the car for the past 7 months. I personally think there has to be something i'm missing.

Personally, I think you are running too rich after 4000 RPM. I would be willing to be that you have a leak in the system somewhere.
