Intercooler Project...

well, my car is torn apart right now...i sent jerry some pics to post up for me, but if anyone wants a pic of anything specific, now is the time to ask...

i will be working on a fix for a couple of things:

1. i am putting on a custom intercooler to help control heat from the supercharger...

2. i am putting in a catch-can to remedy the oil that the system puts back through the supercharger from the valve covers

3. i am putting a port in the y-connector coming out of the intercooler so that i can hook-up a boost gauge...

any thoughts/ideas are welcome while i have the car apart...

Want my Digital Air/Fuel ratio guage from Innovate Technologies? O2 sensor goes into upper exhaust pipe. I only have the guage. How about $free!

It's yours! Use it in good health. I will see what else is left in the garage to give away. I do have a SL brake and ER brake pedal if someone wants it. these are the oval not round nubs. Free for anyone who wants it if they pay shipping.

Thanks...I put it together in about 20 minutes. I needed somewhere to host all of these pictures and how-to documents. Hopefully, everyone will post up the how-to guides and I'll put them on the site.

I've got a quick question/request from you 1FASTC32 while you have all your intake plumbing out of the way. Where exactly is the MAF sensor located? A photo (of the location) would be cool too if it's not to much of a problem.

in the link that jerry posted, first page, third row, third picture, you can see the MAP sensor as you are looking over the intake plenum that is attached to the supercharger...the actual sensor is attached to the top of the intercooler...

there you can also see the IAT sensor sitting in the top of the y-connector coming out of the intercooler...

if you can't see it well enough, i can take some more pics when i get my intercooler back...

Thanks Jerry for the pictures, they are very informative. Makes me hope my intercooler never goes bad.
Looks like you have the "leak" also.
(the same oil leak we all have from the valve cover overflow cap toward the front of the engine).

Regards,
pete

So do I have it labeled correctly? Also does this car utilize a MAP sensor or a MAF?

Anytime! The pictures are actually of 1FastC32's car. He does need to get that leak taken care of.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I have a piece of my old intercooler project if anyone is interested.

The black pipe replaces factory intercooler and silver splitter re-routes it up. You will need to fabricate dual upper intercoolers a-la SLR style.

Please PM me for $ and details.

Thanks.
