Quote: Come on, one thing is voicing out your opinion and another is being disrespectful. Clearly we don't all agree with Dawson's view but don't burn him on a stake for it.
I agree.... Dawson is a cool cat especially if you ever get a chance to meet him. No sense in profanity and name calling. It's actually uncalled for, whether you agree with his opinion or not.

Thanks for keeping everyone up to date, folex187... I bet many are waiting for finished product pics, etc...

I totally agree. Name calling is uncalled for. We should just agree to disagree. Hopefully no hard feelings

folex187,

Up me to 4 x 5.5 badges insted of 2 x 5.5.

Want to keep a spare set in case a jealous MB'er confiscates them.

Dawson's a cool cat and i'm glad the comments against him were retracted. Being an Artist myself I agree with Dawson, but you have no idea how funny that safety inspector is bc it looks just like Dawson

Personally got nothin against Dawson. It's impossible to judge one's tone, just seemed like he was aggressively against it. The more and more I look at it, the more and more I love my front quarter panels. They are downright sexy, however, I would like to try a 5.5 AMG on there. I've never been a fan of shaving badges, but at the same time, over-badging is always a concern.

My philosophy is keep it simple. To me, the 5.5 AMG badge is simple and not flashy. To each his own right?

All right I think I'm going to go with 6 badges now or 3 sets. I'm probably a little neurotic, but I'd like 2 back up sets especially if this is a one time limited run.

Sorry guys everything is moving very slowly over there right now because of the quake and transportation. I'm still waiting on the final mold pics. I will post the pics as soon as I get them.

Sorry this is taking so long guys things are really messed up over there right now. Here's where she's at right now. This is the final stretch so once this piece is perfect, the production only takes a few days and then shipping:

Not too late yet. Basically, the sculpting guy or girl has to make that metal piece there exactly as a mirror of the way the badges look first so they can pour the mold around it. The hard part is making every little piece even and smooth as can be. I will start the paypal thing probably tonight.

Thanks and please also keep in mind us Canadian buyers when it comes to shipping...considering it's not a heavy peice hopefully it won't be too off from tmhe US postage cost. Thanks!

They are a little heavier than you'd think because of the materials. I would think I could throw it in a priority mail or express envelope though. I will check the cost at the post office tomorrow.
