Won't start.

OK, so I haven't driven the car for a few days because the weather's been bad. This morning I go to get in it and the doors won't unlock. I tried both keys. Nothing. So I use the manual key and open the doors. The two blinking red lights on the dash are still blinking, but when I put in the key to try and start it, the key won't budge or turn so I can't even try to start it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
charge

the battery for at least 8 hours. Then check if it will start or the battery is dead.

it is so dead the ecu won't even communicate with the key,to allow you to turn the key.you could jump it but with a battery that low if it is still good you are better of charging it.

LOL.

Right. With this new car that I am still unfamiliar with, I always seem to jump to the worst conclusion. Thanks for the heads up. I jump started it and it fired right up. (phew)

I'll take it in tomorrow and have the battery checked. I have no idea why it went dead.

Thanks again.

Check the current draw on the seat modules. This has been a problems for some people. Do a search.

If it has the original battery then it's time for a new one. At 6 years old mine went from working one day to 6 volts and junk the next day.

Sams club has

oem batteries, and i think someplace on the quick little c32 amg forum you had a member that located a common ground fault in the system that was draining the battery. So check the battery,if the cells are dead or a few are dead,it's time for a new one,if not and the battery holds a charge tonight, run a test for a drain on the battery.

Where did you buy the modules? I have a feeling that I'm going to have to do the same. How do you check them to see if that is in fact the problem?

Thanks.

I just went out and bought a new battery because a week ago my alarm started going off for no reason reason. Turns out, couldn't start it because the battery was so dead.

I went and got a new one and it worked fine. Yesterday I didn't drive my car at all and this morning the alarm started going off.

The car was dead again - the new battery is only a few weeks old.

How can I diagnose this problem? Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. I disconnected my seat modules, now I don't have to connect it to a battery charger every night. Where can I buy these cheap?

Well, I was and still am having that problem of my alarm going off by itself. I went in thinking that the seat control modules were draining power from my battery and when I got the car back, they informed me it had some thing to do with the alarm. The funny thing is that I already had that replaced once and it started doing it again and it's been replaced again and now the alarm comes on intermittenly. So far I do not have the battery drain problem again, but your problem might have to do with the alram.

I had to have my rf antenna replaced because I could not unlock my car unless I was right in front of it. Well, it seems that the antenna has gone bad again, becuase I have to be in front of it to unlock it with my remote. What does every one think is causing these electronic problems? I want to say I have had the ground problem fixed before, it was causing my turn signals to go crazy. There has to be some thing that is affecting them. I had all new modules and what ever put in new and the problems are reoccuring. So that tells me that some thing in my car is causing these problems. It sucks because I just ran out of warranty a month ago.

Eurocharged Performance ML63 and TT lambo
Check fuse #8 in the trunk (left side) That controls the rt, alarm, and a couple of other things. If it is blown, rf will not work.

Had the same problem, was a short causing issues.
