C55 user's guide/manual

Hi,

I just purchased a C55 yesterday just to realize that it did not come with a user's manual/guide. I called MB dealer but they want $35 for it and it will take 7-10 business days to get it. Does anyone know if such documentation is available online or through other source than dealer? Just curious.

Thanks in advance
Kris

You can go to MBUSA.com, join the "Owners Online" section, enter your VIN and download a PDF of the manual.
Viola! You just saved $35 and 7-10 days.

Thanks for the suggestion Scott but I already tried it and got a message "Your manual is not currently available online" when trying to download it. I am not sure if their system is down or if this functionality is no longer available.

Hmmm. That seems odd. I just went back and tried it out. They had the 2002 C32 manual and I now have all 406 pages downloaded to my PC. Did you enter the correct VIN? Were you in the Owners Online site?

Yup. I'm sure I'm looking at the right thing. I select "Owner's Manual" and I get the message about it not being available. The VIN and all my information is correct. Not sure what's going on...

Looks like MB is out to get some of your money and time. Sorry.

Looks like it. Anyways, thanks for your help Scott.

Question to C55 owners... Can someone please check if you see the manual on MB site? If yes, anyone willing to PM me a copy? That would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

krzys4, I just tried and got this message:

Your manual is not currently available online. However, manuals for vehicles prior to model year 2004 can be ordered through the Customer Assistance Center. To obtain a document for your model year, please contact a Mercedes-Benz representative:
By phone at 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES (1-800-367-6372) or e-mail.
The manual contains information that will assist you in operating your vehicle, including:
· Details on vehicle controls
· Safety information
· Technical data
· Practical hints

I think for $35, just get one, the next owner will most likely appreciate it.

It shows me the 2006 C55 manual. Are you sure you have the VIN right? All manuals since 2004 should be there.

Why don't you download it and email it to the OP? Or is the file just way too big?

Yeah... That's it.
Two dealers quoted me 7-10 business days to order the guide. I want to be able to setup my garage door opener, phone, etc now instead of 2 weeks!

So did you order it. You did look in the trunk of your car for the manuals?

I've checked all places but could not find it; even under the seats
As to ordering, yes, I will order it so that the new owner in the future does not have to go through the hoops to get it; like I did. I need to take it to the MB dealer anyways as the front speaker is rattling really badly so I'll order it then all at once...
