How much would a 2003 C32 Be Worth?

I am at the point where I cannot listen to the wife say the car is too small . With that said IF I did sell the car any ideas on what the market would bear? I just bought the car less than a month ago at a very good deal. It is a 2003 with xenon, black exterior, interior is black with red inserts on the seats, lighting package, rain sensing. I think the only thing it is missing is sunshades, rear parking sensors and Nav.

It has 32,xxx, inside is like brand new cond, outside is also in very good cond. There are maybe 2 or 3 light scratches here and there but just normal wear. I am very picky so the cond is very good.

The car has never had any paintwork and comes with the rest of a 1.5 year MB warranty.

Window has a small stone chip, which has been repaired, will need front-end alignment and the rear tires will need to be replaced. They are worn in the center from over inflation I would guess.

It has all service records and has the oil changed every 5K with Mobile 1 fully synthetic.

I am not 100% sure I will sell or not. If I can make a little money on the car I may just flip it and look for something with a little more room like the E55. Before I think of posting it locally I just want to get your guys opinion on price.

Without doing the stuff you mentioned, I would say no more than $23K. That said, keep the car!

You just bought the car - so you know exactly what you could get for it?

Consider yourself lucky if you get another $1K.

Not to mention, if I saw a car that the owner was trying to flip 30 days later I would be telling myself "there must be something wrong with it".

When I bought the car I went on KBB not what people were actually selling them for. This is why I posed the question. I am not asking if I could get what I paid for it? Of course I know in this case I could get what I paid which is less than what I have seen them advertised at lately. From the looks people are asking between $26K-$30K. I was wondering what they are actually selling for. Asking price and what they sell for are two different things.

If someone had a concern on why the car is being sold they would be provided with a full inspection check from MB dealer including a check on paint depth. Car was fully gone through by the Benz dealer and has a clean bill of health. Car passed inspection with the stone chip and low tread in the middle of both rears so they cannot be too much of an issue.

If replacing the rear tires has a huge impact on the selling price of the car then I would replace the tires.

If I did decide to sell I would only make it a local sale someone someone can actually see the car in person.

So if there were new rear tires on the rear you think it would raise the price of the car buy a whole lot? If you do then it is something that I would have done. Plus the stone chip in the windshield is the size of a pee. It just sounds weird that a stone chip and worn rear tires would affect the price of the car in a major way. But maybe I am wrong.

When I bought the car a month ago I was told here I got a steal at $22,900.00 that is why I was wondering what people were actually getting for them. I know it has to be be a heck of a lot more than $23k if I was told I got a steal by several people 30 days ago.

Again if 2 new rear tires and a front end alignment would make the car worth a lot more I will take care of those items. I am not even sure it needs a front end alignment maybe that is how this car follows the road.

Basically what it comes down to is if I can make a couple grand off the car and keep it a local sale then I will sell. If not I will tell her she will just have to deal with it. I really like the car a lot but with two kids in car seats she is driving me nuts. Sometimes it is just easier to cave on some things.

Your car has very low mileage which is a big plus. That said, our cars are taking a beating in resale at the moment. I'm sure the W204 has a lot to do with it.

It just sucks because I had a lot of plans for this car. The inside of this car literally looks like no one has ever sat in it. The outside is a 9/10 and I am the most picky person you will find.

She ended up saying I am not riding in a car that I can not even open the glove box fully because it hits my knees. She is only 5'-4" 110 pounds so she is not a big person. I think what it is we have gone from a Audi A6 to a BMW 540 to this and the C32 is smaller. She has always had full size SUV's like the Lexus 470, Escalade and now Sequioa so she is used to those. Like I told her going from those to getting in my cars of course they are going to seem small.

The battle is not over yet. I just had the oil changed so it will probally set the winter with fresh oil on the battery tender.

Maybe if I spend enough on mods I will just tell her I am to deep into it to sell.

They come out with new body shapes about every year or two which ends up killing the prices.

Like I told here I bought this car because of the power and easy to mode to get some pretty decent power gains.

Another option I just mentioned to her tonight is a Thule rack for the top. That way we could load some things up there and free some place up in the car. I did not see any roof mounts on the car so I will have to look into this idea a little more.

That is probally why I got such a deal or I guess thought it was a deal. If I can not get $25-26K then I will invest in a pair of ear plugs

I was thinking with 32K miles in like new cond except for the stone chip in the windshiled and the rear tires it would bring $25-26 but it does not sound like it.

Thanks for everyones input. I will give it some more time and see if the nagging goes away or better yet maybe she just starts nagging about something new. Since I put the motorcycles away I have not heard a word about them.

Answer: Take her car all the time.

Here's my fix for my situation. I have 2 teenage boys and a wife that is 5'8". We all fit fine, when we take my C32. I am strategic though. We take my wife's minivan most of the time. When the kids are out for the evening and she wants to go out and feel like a "grown up", we take my car on Date Night. She loves the car then.

Keep the car.

Not only will you not get a great price, you simply won't find a car that is so much fun for the money you put in-including mods-but exhudes such a "muscular elegance."

Modding it up to 400+ whp and "fixing" the horrid suspension will reap driving enjoyment for years to come.

This is what we ended up doing this weekend. Only down side here is I miss driving it. The whole time we were in her SUV I was like boy wish we had the C32.

Oh well this option will keep the miles low.

You just got the car Budya....imo...sell the wife instead. Whats funny is is you spent the money on them no complains but on yourself watchout! Keep the car if it makes you happy and let her get a bigger car for her. If I let my soon to be Ex-Wife rule me I would have a very used car and her a new one.....women are never satified and you won't change anything by downgrading yourself or getting a bigger car...........I bet if you were to get a E55 she would still complain! We men need to stop being ruled by women especially if we are the sole bread winners...or if we have better commom sence.

I am just going stand the ground and keep it. When we go away we will just have to take her ride. Or better yet separate cars. My son is already at her saying I do not want to ride in your truck it is too slow lets take dads race car. Boy does that **** her off . I only keep my cars about 2 years anyway.

She said everything you lay your hands on you need to make it go faster. Ever hear that before. Well I said I do not have my hand on your mouth right now and it is going a mile a minute on the car situation . All kidding aside I tend to go to the extreme and mod mod mod everything, which she just, does not understand and never will she said.

On a side note someone here just offered me the Renntech pulley for $925. Does that sound like decent deal? Includes:

the crank, water pump and idler pulleys (Idler Pulleys New)

Like I mentioned I have no idea when it comes to the pulleys what is a good price and what is not.

yeah that was quite predictable wasn't it...haha.

do the mods in stages and enjoy the car. can't beat the bang for the buck for a fully modded car. plus it will give you 20 mpg minimum highway (i get 24-27 depending on speed).
