275/35/18 rears (on C32)

Too wide?

I'm looking at a set of 18"'s for my C32 (yes, my 17" wheels have some nice dings...and I'd like to have a slightly larger wheel).

The package I'm looking at has 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear with Dunlop DZ101's on them.

Are those 275's going to be too wide? I think I've read on here that 255's are the widest we can go.

That tire size is a correct fitment for an E, not a C.

And for an SL actually as well...that what the wheels were for.

I take it 275's won't go on our C32's in the back?

What is the width and offset of the wheels? Wrong offset and there is no way they will fit.

8.5 rears

265/35 max

its not how wide your tires is.. is how much contact in can put down.

275/35 will be hard to fit onto a W203 without fender mods....

Before you pull the trigger and buys the dunlops....take a look at the Nitto invos. I have 12000 miles on them and absolutely love them for the money. I even took them to cal speedway for some fun. Best bang for the buck IMHO.

100% correct. offset if the key. get a 40mm 9" to 9.5" wide wheel and you will be fine. see this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/188692-track-day-325-a.html post #36

i test fitted 285/30-18s on 40mm ET 9" wide wheel. i couldn't roll on the tires but they looked like they might have worked.

did you end up with 275/35R18's on the stock rims for the C32?
