FWIW, their "testimonial" page has quite a few good reviews from "honda guys," even compared against a mujen LSD (presumably, similiar approach as Quaife LSD)... have to take those with a grain of salt, though; who knows if they're true or not.

Thats why I ask cause the website makes it look good but really need to know based of real reviews from members if possible.

Yup, I remember these from the Honda boys. They're good for drag racers on a low budget. The Phantom Grip is an OK option to improve traction. The Phantom Grip is the same type (if not the identical) of "LSD" modification that Kleeman sells. I think the E55 guys used to use those until Quaife finally produced a unit for our cars. Since the install is a significant portion of the cost, I'd skip the phantom and go with the Quaife. The Quaife is the best unit available.

If Quaife is an option for you, it is a superior but considerable more expensive option. If you have a C32 and a 210mm ring gear then the Quaife will work for you. However, for an SLK32 and likely the Crossfire, Phantom Grip is the only way to go. The SLK32 has a 198mm ring gear and Quaife does not have a unit that will work. Trying to get a Quaife to work on an SLK32 would be a $3K to $5K effort at least.

Do a search for Quaife and you'll find some information. At least some C32 definitely have 210mm diffs. You might want to call your dealer with your VIN and ask them the size of your ring gear. An LSD is probably one of the best changes you can do on the car.

The Quaife was hands-down the best mod I ever did to the C32. In fact, I'd venture that it was the best mod I've ever done to any car I have ever modded period, because it was more valuable to the driving experience than go-fast mods like pulleys/software. The Phantom variety is not a true LSD anyway, since it has limited redistribution capability (60% locking, I think).

I am months away from even thinking of buying one......here's a perspective to think about.....I am not thinking of getting one for anything other then to see if performance on a dragstrip enhances mostly and very limited time at a auto x so based on that give me opinions...I may only own my car for a year two tops prior to upgrading and as a daily driver I am pretty laid back....my car sees more action at the strip.
If you autocross all the time then maybe it would be worth it.
Spend the money on racing tires if you do not have them now.

I would not waste the money on an LSD if you are only going to have the car for a year or two. You will not see much if any difference on a dragstrip unless you have tons of mods and are seeing wheelspin over 40mph.

2002 C32 Stock at the moment
HI c32used, an LSD is a must for drag racing it will effectively double your traction. Our ESP simulates an LSD but only 1 wheel spinns at any one time the ESP then nips the brake on that wheel to move drive to the other wheel. I would expect to a lower ET with simmilat trap speed. Another trick drag racers use is to lower your rear tire pressure I would start at 25-30psi you want it as low as it will go withoiut spinning the tire on the rim. cheers Warren
