I tried searching the forums for the answer but was unable to find it.

I have a 2006 C55. Is there anywhere I can read what configurable options are available for me car through the diagnostics?

I would like to be prepared when i visit the Mercedes dealer.

Unless you're adding equipment, I don't believe that there is much that a dealer Star will do.

I've spent hours combing through every screen, and nothing comes to mind.

Maybe I was looking down the incorrect path then. Maybe some of these are enables through the star diagnostics and some aren't?

A few things I am looking for:

1. I would like the headlights to turn off when in daylight. As of now the are always on.

2. I would like the steering wheel radio channel buttons to use the memorized channels and not the frequencies.

3. I understand there is upgraded software that makes the Nav look 3d?

4. I would like to get the RDS(sp) for traffic info.

5. I would like the car to 'beep' when I lock or unlock it.

Are any of these items enabled/disabled through the star diagnostics?

1. Done through the steering wheel controls and the auto selection of the light switch.

2. Since you have Nav the setting is possible through the steering wheel.

3. Not aware of this ever being made available. Updates are through the DVDs. The 2006-1 had updates, not sure of the 2007-1.

4. Not possible.

5. This I believe requires Star - however, it may require a modded Star.

Can someone elaborate on how to use STAR to set these two features? I've got access to a current STAR, or whatever it may be called now, and would like to at least get the Basic TPS on since something is better than nothing. I'd also like to know what is left in the tank when I hit the reserve.

Not sure if it's the same on the 55, but on the 32 that can be adjusted in the steering wheel menu "settings" > "convenience settings"

- You need to set ON tyre pressure monitoring in instrument cluster menu and from ESP.

- You need to get in developer mode ( in instrument cluster -> variant codeing) to get tank datas in instrument cluster.
