Code3 vs LET..........HE....Ding Ding
Ok so we finally have two amazing dudes working for us and not against us..(ie the stealerships) by bringing us awesome aftermarket products.
I would like to get a HE...........What I am looking for:
1) Easy installation with full/easy instructions. From Step Start to Step Finish
2) No cutting involved to fit the HE
3) No welding or no new holes to be made. (welding meaning the arms already fastened onto the Unit) and the HE can be held by the old bolt locations etc.
4) Warranty would be nice.
5) No tricks to fastened the stock hoses to the new HE.
Prices are very similar for both and I am sure both are great products but I am not a mechanic but like accomplisheing tasks myself. However finiky with who touches my car.
Feedback and responses would be great for each question between Code3's product and LET's.
Any additional info would be appreciated too.

02 C32 AMG sold!
Are you at least familiar with your car? As in removing the bumper and be
able to put it back? That's all there is to it, R&R (remove and replace) job.
I could've done the job under a hour, the car was left at my friends house to
be cool so it can be worked on the first thing in the morning.
I can only speak for LET's HE, buy (3) self tapping screws, coolant & you're
good to go. And if you're picky as me I went ahead and bought a few hose
clamps to change the factory ones.

1) Easy installation with full/easy instructions. From Step Start to Step Finish I think both units come with directions that walk you through the installation.
2) No cutting involved to fit the HE I don't think either unit requires cutting.
3) No welding or no new holes to be made. (welding meaning the arms already fastened onto the Unit) and the HE can be held by the old bolt locations etc. There are no "bolt" locations on the stock HE. It has clips that hold it into place. I think both units will require you to drill new holes.
4) Warranty would be nice. I'm not sure about Code3's HE, but I'm sure Brandon will chime in. The LET HE has a lifetime warranty.
5) No tricks to fastened the stock hoses to the new HE. Both use hose clamps and the connections are easy to make.
I'm running the LET HE in my car and have had no issues with it. The unit arrived in a box 3 or 4 times the size of the HE. I have also read that Code3's HE is packaged very well too.
Both are great units designed by great guys.
The Code3 HE is a tad larger than the LET HE. I have not had the opportunity to compare the two side by side, but either choice you make will be the right one. Both are all aluminum and will be a fantastic upgrade over your stock unit.

If you are going to do the HE, then you might as well change the pump at the same time. For $425 shipped, you can get the LET HE and a new Johnson CM30 pump. I'm not sure on the Code3 pricing, but I bet it's not far off.

Both units look top notch. Everyone seem to be very happy with the product and the customer service. No complains so far. I have the LET HE which Erick installed in less than an hour. In my scale, this is a medium level skill job.
It all boils down to your knowledge of the car along with the right tools. If you haven't done an oil/air filter/fluids change, I don't recommend you tackle this task on your own.
Also, you need someone to help you while taking the bumper off and on.

Give the man a break its most-likely a mixup....try him then if no answer then bring it here. I read many threads where people where very happy and pleased with his products and customer service. Give him a chance.

Ok like I said if you tried to resolve it with him first then by all means you deserve to vent here....I do when I can't find resolution in a sponsor here or any vendors that sell their products here cause when mentioned here a resolution comes quicker...good luck

I am not going to comment on specific orders. There were some delays caused by the terrible weather that my fabricators shop has been experiencing. Material delivery had been delayed 1-2 weeks. Unfortunately this was out of our hands. All C32 orders have been shipped. I am suspending further heat exchanger sales until we are caught up on our current E55 orders, and have units in stock. Realistically this will be January 1st. I think this is the best way to get on top of our current and future orders. I have a large order of units placed so that these will be ready to go out next day when they are available again. This will allow us to stay ahead of our orders, instead of getting behind. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused my customers that were affected by the delay.
If you are in the market right now for a heat exchanger, I suggest contacting Erick about purchasing the LET unit until ours is available again. If you are just considering a unit right now, then please consider us for your future purchase. I will be posting new C32 data on our units next week. If you want to see how well the unit is performing on the E55, please visit that forum for complete datalogging results in the link below.

I have done business with Erick and Brandon..
frankly you can't go wrong with either.
If you are in Cali, support your local tuner, if you are around the Mid West or East coast.. I would say LET would be the choice.
The HE will probably last longer than your car..
or mine.

I finally got around to installing my LET heat exchanger this afternoon. Install was pretty simple except my car lacked the lower mounting points to bolt the HE to the frame. I have a C-Coupe + 3.2 AMG motor, which explains the difference in bumper and mounting locations. I had use a metal strap around one of the hose barb ends and hang it onto the aluminum A-Bar. It's a secure fit, so I'm not worried. I also had to cut out some of the inside of the bumper support to make some room for the HE. I didn't bother to install my Johnson CM30 pump only because I did not want to mess with it now. My stock pump is still working and I will change it when it fails.
In regards to the stopcock on the LET HE, when would I need to use it? I still have to add some distilled H20 and let the air out of the cooling system.
I called Erick @ LET for help and he responded quickly and answered all my concerns.
Next I need to install my LET headers and 185mm pulley and I am done.

I haven't timed it yet or gone to the dragstrip yet. My car also has 3.27 gear ratio and a phantom grip. I'm hoping for about 11-12 sec quarter mile times. I'll dyno it first then go to the strip later.
