*** VRP Project X55 ***

From my experience the 55k engine is superfast, E55 is already fast, C55K would be the rocket, plus the 55K engine still got room for more power upgrades.
C32TT would reach its maximum, comparable with stock 55K engine only, modded 55K engine will smoke whatever 32s.
No replacement for displacement!!

Out Of Control!
So this is an engine from a 55 kompressor motor shoved into a W204 chassis correct?
Should be interesting to see. This reminds me of the Donnie Drummonds old 202 k project but this is the 2008 version!

This will be one of if not THE baddest car in the MB community I think. That powertrain is nasty and built up could probably make the car hard to drive![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Awesome.
...think those motor mounts would work on any other M113 motors. They look more rugged than my current which are brand new and still move alot.

Good question. I'd like to know too. I was going to PM you and see if you had a solution yet. I had my Kleemann headers installed yesterday and the downpipes hit on hard acceleration. The shop pointed out how much the engine rises up on the drivers side and said my mounts were probably shot. I just replaced them 5,000 miles ago so they should be good as new. I'm thinking I'll have to come up with some sort of torque strap or something to limit the travel.

thanks for all the comments guys. Starting the motor is still a ways off. I need to test fit all the components still, install the intercooler and oil coolers and make sure all the body panels will fit. Wiring of the engine is mostly done (90%)

Sunil, what about the ECU compliance? Are you using the ecu that came with the engine/trany and if so does the harnesses match up or mate to the origional car harness ( this way I would't have to gut the whole car). Also heard something about some module for SC clutch control in the rear(trunk).
I'm about to pull the trigger myself going from w211 E500 to E55k. The only concerns I have is electronics (any new modules required?). I just went through a 3.6 to 3.8 liter swap on 02 911 C4S, lots of people said it couldn't be done. Turned out to be mostly plug and play, with some minor farting around with vacume lines and sensors.
I would be getting the complete harness and ecu with 55k as well as cluster and differential (anything else required?)
I know didly about my new benz, have not even looked at 55k. One other thing that comes to mind is fueling, any changes there?
I'm also very mechanically inclined and good at fabbing. Any pointers would be great. Thanx in advance.
