Hey guys, I just picked up a barely used SRT-6, so I figured I'd make a screen name on here for any tech support I may need.

I'm in the Houston area (from south side to the north side).

Hope you don't mind me occasionally popping in with questions about my Chrysler.

FOR INSTANCE:

Can you open source tune these cars? I know there are flashes available (recommendations?).

Is there an tuner in town that has specific experience with this S/C 3.2?

Plans are a Needswings Intake and ASP pullies.

Here are a few pics. Honk if you see me around town.

Here's the old car (she's stock now)! *flamesuit*

MB really outdid themselves with this drivetrain. I'm extremely impressed. You guys are all some lucky SOB's.

WOW are you in luck, you have one of the best on this board in your back yard. Get a hold of Erick at LET Motorsports. He is a sponsor for this sight and a HE__ of a knowledgable guy on this forum.

I would start with a pulley, atleast I DID

See yeah

Thanks!

I shoot with a Nikon D50 (old school, but gets the job done).

I think that shot was with my beloved 50mm 1.8 F/ lens.

I'm not really sure if the ECU is exactly the same as the C32, but it is, then you should definately contact LET Motorsports, he'll hook you up with a nice EvoTech tune. Also consider RennTech and Kleemann.....

Congrats on the car!
I recognized the screen name.

I'll be out there on Friday. Feel free to stop by and check it out.

Wow. Even with the "mean" eyebrows, the Neon looks like it's saying, "Hi!"

Your SRT-4 looks very clean. Even in a crowd of SRT-4's with poor taste, yours stands out. Tastefully done.

Good luck with the SRT-6. Hope the board ccan give you information to help you enjoy your ride.

Welcome!

Thanks man. I love my Neon, but unfortunately its completely parted out, so its looks 100% stock (aside from a drop).

Parting that car out was one of the hardest thing's I've done (from a hobby standpoint, lets be real here).

I had a great conversation with Erik today (while sitting in rush hour traffic) so I think I'm definitely on the right path. <--- that's me sport shifting my Autotrans

good switchover! I knew an idiot that had an SRT-4 that lived with my friend and he literally went through two engines via bad modding within a 1 year time period. Plus he managed to hit a pole. I think he's wrecking an evo nowadays that his dad bought him.

So anyways, you've joined a much more mature crowd. Plus doing stage 2 mods on this engine is a piece of cake and reliable. Having 450whp and running low 12's means nothing if your car is in the shop all the time haha.

Welcome to the forum, you're going to be a welcome addition to the Houston crowd. Happy modding and good luck. As you're already aware, Erick is the man to go to for what ever your needs are, especially since you stay in Houston. I wonder if the srt-6 is faster than the c32 or if they respond better to mods. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Awesome work with the photography by the way.

nice upgrade. i'm not a fan of the styling but i can still appreciate the car. I got lots of respect for the srt-4. I know the srt-4 can put out a lot of power with minor modding.

good luck on the new car.

Wow, your friend's friend was an idiot.

I've currently got just shy of 99,000 miles on my Neon, and its been modded for years.

The SRT-4 is an extremely strong platform. There are tons of 12 and 11 second Neons running around with no issues. No car is invulnerable to stupid people.

Also, all of the SRT-4 'crowd' I've hung with are extremely intelligent. Every group of car owners had their douches.

Thanks man!

The quickest times I've seen out of stock SRT-6's are HIGH 12's. Its at least a couple hundred pounds lighter than the C32, so I'm sure that helps a bit.

If you guys ever have any get-togethers, give me a shout.

I always pack my camera.

I'm getting some more shots this weekend. Those were just some quickies (no engine bay shots, no interior).

Thanks again for the compliments, guys. I know the Crossfire has a "controversial" styling, so I appreciate the kind words.

The Six, to me at least, looks like a TOTALLY different car. That's a good thing, because I really don't care for the base Crossfire.

gratz on the x-fire. mods should be the same as the one available for the C32 except you can't get the headers because of the space of the chassi which is based on.

i like how you did the SRT-4 btw. very tasteful...too bad they had to replace it with the stupid looking "crap I can't even remember the name of."

Wow you're one of the first people who actually admit that it's a neon. Congrats for being honest!

What else are they referred to "SRT4" instead of Neon?

If he talked to Erick then he should know the C32 headers won't work...but maybe the SLK32 custom headers by SteveL might

Thanks, unfortunately so many people think that cars look better the MORE you do to it.

I just tried to keep it simple and clean.

And I kept all Carbon Fiber at least 300ft away from my vehicle....

Like I said, it was really a hell of a car (all stock now...). I was trapping 106 on 19's with about 3 REAL power mods.

The worst part about getting ready to sell the car, is that I have a Mopar Stage 3 kit just sitting in my garage.

It was going to go on the car, but I decided that with 99,000 miles on the (untouched) stock motor, I shouldn't spill 100 extra HP and 24lbs of boost into it.

Whatta ya gonna do....
