I would generally not recommend cutting springs. But a lot of people have cut their springs to achieve the desired height.

How much to cut depends on the brand of the springs and how low you want to go

Generally (and from personal experience) cutting a spring will make the ride stiffer and less compliant. As others have said, it's best not to cut. Find springs that will get the car sitting the way you want or consider the extra $$$ for coil overs where you can set the ride heighth.

i hope you didn't cut your springs. Cutting the springs will change the spring rates of the springs. It will compromise handling and give unpredictable results when your car is at there limits.

its actually pretty dangerous.
