Want to share close ups of LET HE and Headers

Most of you have already seen the big picture of these 2 items. Lets see some close ups.

These 2 parts, the SL55 intake will go on the car tomorrow, plus a resonator delete. Very excited.

Pulley on its way, then the ECU tune, after that, probably the CAMMMMMMMMS

I think the headers were welded nicely, I examined them in details and was surprised about the finishing. Wa the coating on headers ceramic by the way.

Wow those headers are terrible. No attempt to even make a merge at any of the intersections. Cant be much better than what came off the car.

What you're (possibly) forgetting is that, due to space-constraints, the "log-style" header allows for larger diameter tubing to be used vs. the "3 into 1 merge" style, which results in more flow - something any F/I engine can benefit from, including any C32 (but especially modded C32s running increased boost pressure).

Theoretically, the ideal set-up would probably be equal-length 3-into-1 long tube headers, but many enthusiasts want straightforward bolt-on performance parts that give a nice increase, and won't affect their ability to pass annual emissions inspections (I certainly do).

If you read the whole other thread on these, it'll fill you in on the design choices

Yeah keep in mind that the Evosport headers dynoed out as no gain for a few people on the forums here, and those are "prettier" in the sense of design. Plus the C32 has the same headers as the C320 and C240 so you can see how tube diameter would cause a bit of a choke point.

HONESTLY WITH THE SPACE CONSTRAINTS EVEN IF THEY WERE THE BADDEST LOOKING DESIGN YOU CAN'T REALLY NOTICE THEM ONCE INSTALLED SO IMO ITS BEST 4 OUR CARS TO MAKE THE BEST DESIGN POSSIBLE SINCE ITS PRETTY WELL HIDDEN FROM VIEW...

Did you get them on?

LET’s heat exchanger is performing even better than I had hoped. It’s an excellent piece of hardware, IMHO.
Their headers, which I’ve already received, are beckoning me like a temptress. If only I could find a clear day on the calendar to get ‘em installed…

If a little effort was made the middle primary could of been lengthened to meet at the merge as opposed to practically teeing into the longest primary. This would of also made the middle primary a bit longer, equaling out the length a little more. I used to work for a company that manufactured headers and exhausts.

Brought the car to the shop yesterday and it should be ready by tomorrow. The HE, headers are going on with a resonator delete. ECU tune will be done once I have the pulley. I also get a brake replacement too this time.

Too bad the SL55 intake did not fit nicely. Clips and holding points are in different locations.

Though the whole system sits on top nicely, but they were not nicely secured. The driver side (RHD) box somehow hits the main wiring tube from the ECU which I worries the most. If the vibrations damage the tubing, I'll be hitting my head to the wall.

Instead I ordered the K&N.

Will shoot more pics when I get the car back tomorrow.

Were your timing with different filters done with stock C32 boxes(Read that you have the SL55 Y Splitter only), I was not able to fit in the SL55 boxes nicely and securely. I gave up and ordered the K&N, I cannot find Greens here.

Dude if you can make a set that is under $950 shipped that makes more power, I'll totally buy them (along with a bunch of other C32 owners). Until then, these are the best on the market.

The Kleemann headers which are over $3k are claimed to make about 16hp and 15tq at the crank, pretty much what the LET ones dynoed...at the wheels.

Yes to your question about the stock C32 airboxes.

Headers on - Great Great Difference

I tested on 3rd (Auto) about 70km/h, the car accelerated immediately with no hesitations. Its raining today, so I did not test it hard.

I GREATLY RECOMMEND THIS HEADER TO EVERYONE

Resonator off - Not much difference during idle, but huge difference at 2500-5000 rpms. I would say, you can drive it as quiet and as loud as you want.

HE on - don't know how to measure the difference.

Keep it up Erick, GOOD PRODUCTS.

Will shoot some pics and show it

Finally a first hand review of these headers. Erick (LET) they don't look like they are ceramic coated but can you get them coated for us??

cnchung, did you install these or did you have someone do it for you? How long a project did it turn out to be??

Most late model headers with ceramic coating do look like that. The JBA shorties for the GTO with titanium coating look exactly like that in color.

Do these headers carry a CARB exemption?

Just like the Ventura, 95% of the clowns smoging your car don't know what they are looking at. I'm not too worried about it.
