Headlight won't turn on!!! Help

2002 C32, and out of warranty!!! My right headlight is out for good now, and won't come back on. It was sometimes intermittent, but now it is dead. I DO NOT want to spend $587 for a new ballast/control unit. Anyone have a used one laying around they want to part with? Is there a kit to down grade to Halogen?

Any advice where I can get a reasonably priced ballast/control unit?

If you have the old style xenon headlights and not the bi-xenon, they some times come up for sale for less than $300 for a set. If you have the bi-xenon, I've seen singles on ebay, but it's rare. If you're tight for money and just need a set of halogens, look on ebay, I'm sure you can get a set for around $300. Good luck.

Have you tried switching the bulbs to make sure it's not the whole unit and
just the bulb?

I'm not sure what you mean? How can i use Halogens with my OLD style HID headlights? Is there a special plug/wire harness I need? I would love to go back to halogens. These control units are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!!

i have the same problem here, the bulb won;t light up for about 2 out of 10 times i start my car whilst the headlight switch is on auto position. My remedy is by switching the light on/off for about 10 times before the check lamp message appears, and the bulb would turn on. i was told to replace the whole headlight housing, but i suspect the problem to be electrical so it had either to be the ballasts/wiring.
you could check this web www.hidplanet.com

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I just ordered the ballasts/control units from them ($279 a pair sure beats the stealer price for just one)
