Mine goes away as well - take video of it if you can with the hood up.

Chirping sound when cold
I just hit the 60000mile mark and when I started the car and i heard chirping (shrieking?) sound from the engine that gets louder as you rev up the engine, it will go away once engine warms up.
My current remedy is to shut the engine and restart again, it will usually go away
Btw, this problem is intermittent
anyone care to shed a light? i suspect loose belt

You probably would not smell a burning belt if it is slipping to to age or glazing. What you have described sound like a classic belt issue. It'll run about $100 to replace, if memory serves me.

chirping again this morning, pop the hood and engine cover, took vid with phone. will post later.
