c180k
I have been reading this thread from the beginning until I realised the pully, air intake etc. was only for the c32!
I have a c180k coupe. What can be done to get more power other than a re-map?
Thanks.

I just received my C3P pulley, intake, and belt wrap kit today. Everything installed properly with no issues during my test drive. I am putting it on the dyno tomorrow morning. If A/F ratio looks good, I will probably hold off on the LET tune for a month or two.

Came back with 290.3 rwhp and 291.2 torque @ approx. 5800 rpm. Measured using Dyno Dynamics at 6,000 feet above sea level. I intend to re-dyno at another shop. The guy at the shop I went to didn't impress me with his technical abilities.

I don't get it? what is the difference with this dyno dynamics? It produces lower numbers i take it, but that seems really low, or isnt it? especially with those bolt-ons that suppose to give +- another 35RWHP ? I mean we dont have these different types of dyno's that people talk about on here, like mustang etc.. all i know i stock my car put down 305RWHP but like i so not sure what to reference it with your dyno's over there... Anyway I suppose will just have to put it back on the same dyno after mods are done to see the diff. As a matter of interest what was your rwhp. before the mod before 290rwhp?

That's about right given your elevation and a Dyno Dynamics.

This will give additional reference and I'm in CA.

I didn't dyno my car before installing my Code3 mods. I should have, but my schedule just didn't provide the opportunity.

Regarding the difference between a Dyno Dynamics and others, I simply do not know. I do know that some dynos are more generous with their horsepower and torque readings than others. The biggest influence with the numbers I posted is the high altitude.

Here's my dyno printout - everything looks good; no unexplained dips or spikes...love the torque

Numbers are numbers and shouldn't be looked at with too much concern. Changes in weather temp, humidity, engine heat soak, and how the car is strapped to the dyno all effect the readings. If the car is strapped really tight or a hair sideways on the dyno the numbers go down. The only thing of real value is the AFR. 12.5 to 11.7 at the motor and you're fine. I prefer 11.7 at the motor which is about 12.3 at the tail pipe.
Dyno's help show the increase from a different mod but to be accurate need to really be done the same day.

My pulley from Code 3 took 2 weeks to arrive to Puerto Rico. I got an email that my ordered was received and another with the tracking number when it shipped. I have it installed and so far I'm pleased. The backing plate clearance to the clutch wasn't symmetrical (not too far off) but has worn square after 2 days of use. No belt slipping, now unusual noise and 16.5 lbs maximum boost so far. (dashdaq) The out of round condition seems to be prevalent on the aluminum pulleys so get a steel one.

The track is open Wednesday and Thursday and if the weather cooperates I should have new best times to share.

Pure speculation but, I would venture to say it's due to their complete lack of customer support, complaints from members across the boards, orders not filled or delayed much longer than expexted, and then the issues with the intercooler being the icing on the cake. That's definitely enough for them to lose their sponsorship at least. Sounds like there has been a lot going on behind the scenes as well.

SRT-6
I installed mine recently. (2006 SRT-6) Aluminum pulley, no belt wrap kit. I went to the track and ran a hair faster (13.0141) than my previous best (13.074). Most runs were much slower. I lost traction in first every single run around 4500 rpm and the car pulled timing and shifted early to second; lost traction in second at around 5500 rpm and the car again pulled timing and shifted early to third. No traction loss in third and the shift to fourth was at 6050 rpm. So, the car feels faster, breaks the tires loose (PS2's) no matter how careful I am and runs the same or slower. I ran 13.5 to 13.7 several times feathering the throttle all the way to third trying to find the right balance. I started the rear tires at 32 lbs. and went progressively lower until I reached 20 lbs. The best traction was at 28 to 30 lbs. Needless to say, I'm shopping for tires. Maximum boost that I saw on the Dashdaq was 16.9 psi. I think the pulley is a good deal if you can get one without problems. And its on sale right now. Why couldn't I have waited and saved a Benjamin and Jefferson.

I had the C3 Pulley and intake combo, now I have the LET Intake and LET 185 pulley. I think the C3 is definitely worth it as mine did make a pretty big difference (no dyno numbers, sorry) on my butt dyno. I switched to the 185 because I wanted a little more power. With the C3 pulley and LET intake I ran a 13.01x with some horrible 60ft's but trap speed was 107-109mph ( with 108mph being my best of 13.01). After i switched to the 185 I ran a 12.8 with still bad traction and horrible 60ft's. But the car was trapping at 109 every time.
So, IMO the C3 is worth it for the price and easy install. I had the 2nd generation pulley and had no issues at all while it was on my car. But I think the 185 pulley is definitely the way to go if you want the most power out of your car for just a few more hundred bucks. Cant go wrong either way
