Rims are a must.
I will be looking for alittle more power.

what will intake, ecu, and exhaust set me back?
will this crack 400 crank power

Resonator delete will not give you any power but a nice note it will. A full exhaust including headers is about $4000. Intake and ecu is about $3000. S/C $10,000 plus install. Good set of wheels over $4000. Maybe you can just get an ecu tune for now around $1200. Light weight crank pulley $500 udp $300. LSD $1300. This is pretty much the prices for performance parts for a C55. Hope that helps. Btw cams are about $2000 (slr) and kleemann $4000 and the results of hp are less than 10hp thats your call?

By removing, you may not gain any hp. However, you do lose couple lbs and gain great exhaust sound imo..

Reason I said it's absolute first mod is because it does give a great exhaust note, it's less than $100 to do and you should be in and out of the shop in less than an hour.

The Quaife LSD will bring your times down a member just did 13.2@108 stock so with the LSD he might have done 12s. So maybe the LSD and drag radios...ECU tuning many can do....but why waste the money when the other two mods I mentioned can get you in the 12s...

First get the Evosport headers for the C55; you can do this for about $2k if you do the labor yourself or with a friend. This will give you the biggest power upgrade, upfront. Then do the pullies and the phenolic spacers (just makes your engine more efficient and can be done for about $1k if you do the work yourself). Next get an ECU tune -- read the forum to decide which one you want: Renntech, Evosport/Powerchip, Evotech, or Kleeman. Next get lighter wheels. Do not waste money on good looking rims if your budget is limited and you want to go faster, the only thing that will help are lighter rims and better tires (read the forum) but 19lbs and under per wheel for 18" or 19" wheels gets expensive -- OE rims are about 27 lbs each. After that, your wallet is your limit. A Quaife LSD installed should be about $3k minimum. Twin turbos or a supercharger will run you in the $8k to $15k range. Nitrous can only be used occasionally. The remaining mods seem to be cosmetic or only truely useful to a trained driver on the track. The whole process, however, is fun and is best enjoyed in stages.

I would say you only have a handful of options a few at best. As said before in the thread you cant go wrong with some light weight wheels with drag tires you will cut a bunch of weight from stock. Only delete the resonator if you want to. making a louder noise is just for effect. Renntech ECU is a good option but NOTE THIS.... A tech at Mercedes told me That If you do an ECU upgrade and something goes wrong with your car the dealer is going to point at the ECU. and even if you remove it back to stock they can still see software bits that are still in the system and they can void your warranty.
Based on that. I would say a nice big brake kit for the front is a good choice. Sounds boring but you can never stop fast enough. At the drags this weekend i felt as of I was killing my brakes to stop from 100+ MPH in a short time in my C55. I feel If you do wheels and say go to 19's you will be over well over 2K unless you get some cheepo's just to race with. then with cheepo's you get into other problems that could arise (strength) and you go to make sure they are lighter than stock.
SO If I had 2K to spend on parts. I would do this....
1.New air filters K&N or Green.
2.Ecu RennTECH or Kleemann
3.Cosmetics, Brabus door lock pins, Maybe Brabus shifter knob cap.
4.Tint the windows. looks killer on our cars.
5.Resonator delete (if you want)
6.Lorinser Roof spoiler (looks real good IMO on our cars)
Pick from some of those and It will be money well spent.
