Every time, before rolling to the line or exiting the paddock.
It's the easiest way to let that lump in front of the firewall know you're ready to get after it.

I just wish I wasn't at 4600 ft elevation. Ran a 14.60 last year with no mods. Hoping to dip into the 13's this time with mods. Anyone want to take a guess for shnits and giggles???

That’s ~13.7 corrected.
With your new modifications, you'll be close to the 12 second club at sea level.

2002 audi s4
what do you mean by "resetting" the ecu? do you unplug it or the battery for an extended period of time and then on the way to the track let the ECU make new adjustments? This is from the audi world but in my old s4, restarting the ECU JUST before aggressive driving can cause lean conditions which isnt good from a performance standpoint.but if youre adding race gas or maybe a "superior"(by superior i mean something along the lines of comparing HESS to shell or whatever) type of gas you could restart the ECU and allow it to make adjustments during some light driving.

In a Bosch fuel injection system, at wide open throttle, the O2 sensors have no impact on air fuel ratios. ECU’s are usually in one of three modes: warm-up, open loop, and closed loop. The oxygen sensor is only used by the ECU while in closed loop mode. ECUs go into closed loop mode when the O2 sensor is warmed up, the coolant temperature sensor indicates the engine is warmed up, and when either at idle or at cruise.

I think it helps, if you drive like an 70 yr old. I reset my car every other week..... i drive like an old lady and ( GAS SF 91 octane 4,56 per gallon ).
