Goodluck with the car, they really are amazing.
As far as a GT2 IMO, i would never spend 200k for a Porsche. When i spend that much money on a car it will be italian.

first all huge mistake in my opinion. z06 is an awesome car. it is an america n car that drives great and can pretty much blow anything out of the water. with alittle work it dusts everything.
i driven porsches and have family memebers who have them. It nothing special.. they handle great. Nothing beats the sound and performacne of an american v8..sorry guys.
plus everthing these days is made of composite materials. they are stronger, lighter and safer then steel in most scenarios. plus interior can be customized to you liking any way you like it. you can always bring it to custom auto shop and let them do it up in ostrich leather if your not a fan of the plastic lol

yes, my Z06 had over 600 hp and could blow almost anything away...but it was a hard car to drive fast even with minor suspension work...and as for interior, it needed much more than some leather accents...great car and great fun/performance for the money but it got old FAST! (even the new ZR1's interior is poor)
for now I will stick to the german cars as long as I can afford them

I respect the Vettes and think they are great cars. The numbers are insane and the prices are very reasonable. However, they are not German or Italian cars, and the prices reflect. Your GT3 is amazing and i love the silver. Dont let the haters bother you, im sure the driving experience is amazing. I would also be very proud of owning a car that has the most powereful naturally aspirated 6 cylinder in production.
