LET tuned!!!

Yesterday Erick and Wayne of LET tuned my car on the dyno. The tempurature in the shop was @ 90 degrees and the humidity was @ 70%. Knowing that these weren't optimal tuning conditions they did what they could. My mods are: LET 185mm pulley, LET HE, LET headers, LET pump, 10c fan mod, and K&N filters with stock boxes. After 16 pulls Erick quit for the day because the car was pulling timing do to the heat and I was very happy with the results. Unfortunately I didn't get a print out of the runs because the printer was down so you will have to take mine, Erick, and Waynes word for it.

347 rwhp / 352 tq with 12:1 AFR across the board.

.......And we aren't done. The car had more to give but the heat and stock air boxes are holding us back. The car pulls VERY hard and smooth. If I mash the gas at 20 mph (with no ESP on) it lights up the tires instantly!

LET Motorsports + AMG = FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What’s up with that?! I’m kidding. He is a true gentleman.

After two more planned hardware upgrades, a LET tune will be next on the agenda.

Thanks for sharing your results.

hahaha!! He quit because it was obvious the only thing happening in that heat was us sweating and the car pulling timing!

Any stock dyno numbers?

Was this on 93 octane? We can only tune to 91 in Cali

Very strong numbers.....

Remember these cars start pulling timing like crazy when they heat up.

Congratulations!!.......but I must say.....ARRRRRRRGHHHHHH!!!
Jealousy is turning me GREEN with envy!!

I am going to have to do the tuning part via FedEx...I wish I lived in "LET Country". My 185 is supposed to be here on Tuesday, and I am dying to find out how much rwhp it is going to pump out when it is installed and I plug the ECU back in.

Here in Washington....it hardly ever gets above 70 degrees....even in the summer. Maybe a week or two over 80, and a wild card 90 day two or three times a summer. I am hoping the cooler temps might help squeeze out some more.

The only problem is that I don't know of any shops around with a dyno...no tracks to test on...I am going to have to keep searching.

I would love to try and push the magic "bolt on" 400 number...but I am not sure it is possible without going to Nitrous (or x2 turbos )

Have fun and keep us updated

very strong Stage 2+ C32.

the whole package and installation was under $4k?

I'm glad to see prices for our cars gettng back to Earth.

add the CODE3 intake filter and you will probably squeeze a bit more boost... and handful of horses.

Try to get before and after dynos so we can see the difference...I may head that direction if the S/C pulley combined with Crank pullied car don't work...you may need Nitrous or TT to get to the 400 rwhp...

Very possible...but it worries me that the additional air inlet will bring in way too much engine bay heated air thus giving issues with heatsoak again but a chiller tank from either LET/C3P can help rosolve it if it is a possible issue. I say stay as he is for now...if he wants more then TT it...

I would think with the 185mm pulley that a sl-55 splitter would probably help airflow. Don't you guys think??

BARRATT, we're glad you're pleased with the results. How is the drivability since you got her back?

C32-4ME: If you're willing to foot the bill, we're willing to travel. The 185 should be a nice power upgrade.

c3232c: LET recommends the SL55 setup because of our datalogging results. A one-degree change in inlet temps can trigger a 3.5 degree timing retardation...and consequently drop power output.

once you have a bigger HE.. no more worries about IAT's unless you plan to track your car.

For everyday driving.. you can do multiple runs on the freeway and it will not be a problem.

Like I have posted before.. I made a home version of this intake.. and it works.

I ran the crap of the car and it never felt slower. I used microfiber rag, tape and the 6 screws on the plate. It was not pretty, but sure was a fun thing to do. I returned back to stock in a few hours. Don't want to have a piece of rag stuck in my Throttle body.

I am undecided about which intake to go with but I am leaning toward the 55 splitter.

The drivability is AWESOME and I am still getting 21 mpg on the hwy.
