It finally happened.........

Ok, this is the deal.
I drive a 1999 M5.
Pull up the the local Mercedes Dealer, and talk to the guy about the new E klass. After a few minutesw the dude says that he has a brand new C32AMG black/black fully loaded i mean every option possible!!!!
Well you know what happened next , he said that he will take the m5 and i just have to say yes, so i said YES.
The car will be here next week on friday.
My m5 has given me so many problems since i got it i can't wait to trade it in.

They probably thought your M5 was worth more than a brand new C32,and I don't blame them. Maybe you should check the blue book value on the M5 first before trading.

Post a pic of your cars.

How much does a C32 cost in Poland?

Sorry about your English. 17 years in the US, and you've forgotten your English skills??

Happy birthday, btw. You've had some nice cars for someone who just turned 30.

I am not sure about the used value of your M5, but for any dealers to do a equal trade on a new car for your used one...I don't know. Most car dealers are good with numbers and they know the market value for almost every cars. At least better than most of us are. If they acted so fast on your car, maybe the C32 is used or has repaired records (probably that's the C32 with the blown engine). If the deal sounds too good to be true, chances are, there is a catch somewhere.

Yes, I went to Rowland High school and graduated in 1995.

OK lets start from the start.

my used m5 IS WORTH 43.000 EURO- THAT'S HOW MUCH THE MB DEALER IS TRADING IT IN FOR.
a new c32 brand new is 83.000 euro.
I will have to pay the differenc so that's about 40.000 euro. i never said that it's a head to head deal.
The prices of car here in poland are much higher then the us.

Once again i will just explain.
In 1981 i moved with my parents to the US.
In september 1989 we mover back to poland , i have not been to the states since then.

If you want to see my M5 you can check out my picks at www.bmwm5.com, search for picks robretwitelus.

hope you guy's check it out.

And yes i'm a little lucky to have owned great cars at my age, but there is a lot of us out there.

one of my picks.

Never know my man. Some countries impose high tax rates on foreign import vehicles. In Mainland China, the taxation on is 200% on luxury vehicles. I paid roughly $130k for the BMW 740. That was considered a "deal".

in my country it is near impossible to get an imported car, and if you can, expect 2 - 3 X the cost as in America.

thankfully i live in canada now. my $100K nissan didn't cut it

talk about taxes. In Taiwan the import tax are so high you will be paying nearly $170k for a M5 and $100k for a C32. And get this, almost $200k for a 2003 SL55

BTW,

the price for a used M5 starts in germany with 25.000 euro.
BMW has probs with a high fall in value. Mercedes and Porsche don´t have that.

problems.........

I writing this from my computer at work so i have a different login.

Problems with the M5 to get to me in the second year of driving the car. First the airbag warning light came on and off whenever it felt like. The the power seats and memory not working wright.
Then one day the car just lost about 40 % power. After checking the computer at the dealer there was no error codes.
But then 6 mon. later !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they said the one of the comps that is in chrge of the amount of air getting to the engine is at fault.
All the above problems were not covered by warrenty. You guy;s in the states are lucky to have laws that don't allow the dealer to f**k you in the A $$ when something goes wrong , but here in Poland they don't care as long as they have already sold the car to you.
When i asked if they would trade my M5 whichj i bought from them they said it would be hard to sell a car like that and they don't want it.
I wanted to trade for a M3, but i was treated really bad so after evaluating all those situations my wife and i came to a verdict the it's going to be a Mercedes.
But since we are still young we did not go for the "E". My wife and i decided on th eC32 amg. I hope the car is fast, i really like driving fast, and belive me here in europe it's not a problem and the tickets in some countries are not expensive. So i just can't wait till i pick it up on friday. The weather conditions are horrible it's snowing constantly for two days now, so i guess i can't fully test the car.

sorry for the long post.

see you..
robert.

In germany Mercedes Benz gives you on a new car a warranty for one year for all technical and mechanical probs if you buy a new car.

If you buy a used car you get lifetime warranty (30 years) for every part which needs oil: engine, transmission, etc.
