Excuse me, how much is a service B?

What the hell is that for?!?
How much are you guys paying for service B recently? I go in thurs. for my first one...
Sevice B is just an overpriced oil change... They charge **** load of $ for inspection. Not worth it in my book.
Here's what it would cost if you did it yourself....
9 quarts Mobil1 0w40 =$50.00
1 MB Oil Filter =$25.00
Cabin Filter =$25.00
______________________________
Total =$100.00
Even if the dealer performed the work and charged you 1 hour of labor at $120.00 per hour, out-the-door price should be no more than $250 including tax.
A lot of Benz owners either are not phased by the cost or simply assume that owning a Benz means paying out exorbitant sums to local dealerships for simple work.
If you really have no idea how to do it PM me and I will direct you to MB certified shop that will do it for about $25 if you bring your own oil and filter.
Regards
Jack

Mobil 1 8 x $6.00= $ 48.00
Fleece oil Filter = $14.00
Cabin Filter = $10.00
Labor charge for oil change at Wheelworks or equivalent: $19.00
Under $100.00!!
Back to topic....guys look around your local area for shops or mechanics that can service your MB. Locally I have access to mechanics that give me great rates on Services. I paid as low as $215 parts and labor for Service B.
Sidenote: Did anybody do research before they acquired their car on how much the servicing would cost?
I think you'll be screaming "bloody murder" and "highway robbery" when you have to replace your brakes, the damage is around $1500. Enjoy.

I beleive it's: turn key to position two, scroll through the screen with the left buttons on your steering wheel (I beleive it's the "page buttons") 'till you get to "A service due now" or "B service due now" and then press and hold the "reset" button on the left of the instrument cluster. It will ask you "are you sure you want to reset?" just press the reset button again and then it should say "A service due in 10000 miles" or "B service due in 10000 miles"
If you forget, just call up your dealer and ask to speak to service and they should be able to give you the steps I just gave you unless you get some idiot who says that it can't be done and you need to bring you car in since it resets via computer, BS.
